I never imagined that, as the princess of the Camorra family, I would one day be pointed at and called a shameless woman who couldn't even afford her own ride.

The irony was that the car belonged to me.

When the two soldiers arrived,they hadn't even finished asking me about what happened ,David came speeding back in my black Maybach.

He slammed on the brakes right in front of me, jumped out, and his face instantly turned pale.

"Princess, what happened? Why did you report this to the family?"

I glanced at him but said nothing.

The soldiers looked him up and down before asking:

"David, did you, as the princess stated, take family property without permission?"

According to family rules, anyone who stole or misused family property would not only be expelled from the family but would also have nowhere left to go in Sicily.

The moment David heard this, panic flashed across his face.

"No, no! This is a misunderstanding."

"I'm the princess's driver. I drive Miss Alice every day."

"I only gave someone a ride because we were going the same way. It only delayed things by a few minutes."

"There was never any intention of taking family property."

As he spoke, he pointed at my car and forced a nervous smile.

"Look, I brought the car back immediately, did not I?"

The soldiers stared at him for a moment before lowering their heads and asking me:

"Princess, do you wish for us to handle this according to family law?"

Just as I was about to answer, David suddenly dropped to his knees.

"Princess, please forgive me this once. Think of my father. He drove for the Don for years."

"You know my father's health has been poor. I finally managed to find a girlfriend, and I only wanted to fulfill his wish of seeing me settle down."

"I was only trying to keep my relationship together. I did not have another choice."

Hearing he mention his father,I hesitated.

David's father,Thomas,had been loyal to the Family his entire life.

He had driven for my father and me for years,always honest and dependable.

More than once,he had risked his own life during conflicts between rival crews to protect my father from gunfire.

But a month ago,his old injuries returned. Unable to continue working,he had no choice but to retire.

On his final day,he stood in front of my father and me,hesitated for a long time,and finally said awkwardly that his son David had just lost his job.

Thomas had always been an honest man. In all his years,he had never asked anyone for a favor.

So my father allowed David to become my personal driver.

For the first two weeks,David was actually acceptable.

He wasn't the kind of driver who made everything perfect,but he did what he was supposed to do.

He arrived on time,drove carefully,and always kept the car spotless.

But things changed starting last week.

The day David came to pick me up,there was suddenly a heavily made-up woman sitting in the passenger seat.

I looked at him in confusion.

When he got out to open the door for me,David quickly explained in a low voice,

"Princess,this is my girlfriend,Bella. Her workplace is on the same route as ours,so I thought I'd give her a ride."

I nodded and did not say anything.

Giving someone a ride because they were going the same way wasn't a big deal.
