Chapter 3 Humiliation

Penulis: Perfect Timing
I stared at Ariana in disbelief, my face drained of color. "Is that true? What she said—was it true?"

She scoffed, clearly irritated by my question. "What's there to deny? You're broke and pathetic. Of course, I don't want someone like you."

She grabbed a glass of water from the table and threw it straight at my face, her tone filled with contempt. "Look at you—such a disgrace. You're not even worth a finger of my boyfriend."

Then, she turned and planted a sweet kiss on Elliot's lips, smiling as if the whole scene was nothing more than a show for her amusement.

Elliot grinned even wider, shoving Ariana aside as he crouched down in front of me. He lowered his voice, taunting, "You see that? Money can move mountains. Even your precious goddess is just another dog licking my shoes. Hahaha!"

"I'll kill you for this!" I snapped, fury exploding inside me as I struggled to get up.

But the others pressed down harder, forcing me back to the floor. Elliot lifted his foot and stomped down on my face, grinding his heel cruelly. "Go on, lick my shoe clean. Do that, and the 50 bucks are yours. Otherwise, you're not walking out of this room."

"I'm the CEO of Sandhurst Group—you think you're worthy of having your shoes cleaned by me?" Rage surged through me as I glared up at him, my voice trembling with fury.

For a second, I thought my words might shock them into backing off. Instead, they looked at each other—and burst out laughing.

"First, he said he owns the restaurant, now he's claiming to be the CEO of Sandhurst Group! Chase, do you have some kind of delusion? You're unbelievable!"

"Yeah, right! The CEO of Sandhurst is worth billions. You think someone like that would be carrying plates around?"

"Guess that glass of water didn't wake him up. Let's give him something stronger!"

One of them smirked with a nasty glint in his eyes. He disappeared into the restroom and came back holding a basin filled with toilet water, then dumped it all over me. The freezing filth soaked through my clothes.

They all burst into laughter again, pointing at me as if I were a circus act, mocking and jeering without restraint.

That did it.

I couldn't take another second.

I broke free with every ounce of strength I had and yanked out my phone. "Get reinforcement in here—"

Before I could finish, Elliot snatched it from my hand and smashed it under his heel. "Calling for backup? What, you gonna summon the rest of the waitstaff to save you?" he sneered, laughing hysterically.

Dripping wet and shaking with rage, I lunged forward, ready to hit him—but the others pinned me down again, forcing me to my knees.

Elliot's grin twisted into something vile. His pudgy face was gleaming with malice as he crouched down once more. "You want me to let you go? Fine. Bark for me. Say it loud—'I, Chase Levine, am Elliot Reid's dog.' Do that, and maybe I'll let you walk out of here."

"Dream on." I spat at him, pure hatred burning in my eyes. Every nerve in my body screamed to tear him apart.

Elliot wiped his face, laughing coldly. "You really don't know what's good for you. Fine then. I'll make sure you understand you're not even as good as my dog. Boys—do it!"

Instantly, his lackeys grabbed me again. They forced my head toward the toilet bowl, some of them holding me down while one reached for his belt, clearly intending to do something far more disgusting.

The scandal exploded across the internet, drawing massive media attention. Reporters quickly dug up the old livestream footage from the private room that night, piecing together what had happened. Before long, the public had made up its mind—it was nothing more than a vicious fight between two gold-diggers. The outrage was unanimous. My former classmates, whom I had sued for their involvement, were forced to pay hefty settlements for both material and emotional damages. Their personal details were soon exposed online, and with their reputations destroyed, none of them could get hired anywhere. As for the small group of lackeys who had followed Elliot around, their futures were finished for good.Elliot's mother, abandoned by Thomas after he disowned his son, was quickly expelled from the Reid household. She came to beg me for mercy several times, pleading for her son's release, but I ignored her every time. Eventually, she joined forces with a few of the female classmates who had l

Everyone immediately understood what that meant—the Reids had completely abandoned Elliot. In the detention center, he reportedly broke down and even assaulted a police officer, earning himself additional charges on top of everything else. While I watched the whole mess unfold like a spectator at a farce, something unexpected happened that night—Ariana showed up at the hospital to see me. She was wearing the same white dress I had once given her back in school, with light makeup and tearful eyes, looking pitiful on purpose."Chase," she whimpered, "I never betrayed you. I only broke up with you back then because I didn't want to hold you back. And as for Elliot—I didn't want to be with him! He forced me. You know what his family's like… if I hadn't agreed, he said he'd have me sold off to a club. Chase, you loved me once, you loved my body—how could I ever ruin myself like that? I only went to him because I had no other choice."I couldn't help but laugh out loud. Looking at her, I

Elliot was wholly stupefied. When he finally snapped out of it, he stumbled forward to apologize—but before he could reach me, one of the guards kicked him back to the floor.I looked down at him from above, my voice cold and cutting. "Assault, intentional humiliation, property damage, and unlawful confinement. Those are the charges against you, Mr. Reid. Every second of what you just did to me is clearly recorded on the security cameras. You can look forward to spending the rest of your life in prison—and losing every penny your family owns to pay for it."Then, I turned to the manager. "Call the police. No one leaves this room until they've paid the price.""Yes, sir!" The guards immediately took action as I turned and walked out, heading straight for the hospital. That was when Cleo finally snapped out of her daze. Gone was her earlier arrogance; she ran after me with a sudden sweetness in her tone. "Chase! I knew you couldn't have fallen that far. You were always top of the c

Everyone in the private room froze, terror flashing across their faces as they looked at me. Elliot's face went pale, though he still refused to admit defeat. He struggled against the guards holding him down, but they had him pinned so tightly that he could barely move.Humiliated, he barked, "Chase, you're a damn joke! You actually hired this many servers to play along with your act? How much did he pay you all for the day? I'll double it—now get over here and beat the hell out of him for me!"The guards didn't move. They just stared at Elliot like he'd lost his mind. Cleo, on the other hand, immediately took his side without a shred of doubt. "Didn't you hear what Mr. Reid said?" she shouted. "He's offering double pay! What are you waiting for—get on his side already!"I couldn't help but laugh. How ignorant could someone be? Even when the truth was staring them in the face, they were still spouting nonsense like that. I wiped the blood from my face, then shot the guards a cold

The restaurant manager became grimmer by the second. "I'm sorry, but I know exactly what our boss looks like—and you're not him."Elliot froze, caught red-handed, his expression awkward. Then, in a burst of fury, he snapped, "What the hell do you know? You're just a damn employee! You think you know who owns this place or who the shareholders are? Who the hell are you to question me? Watch your mouth before I fire you myself!"His self-assured tone threw the manager off. For a moment, the man hesitated, unsure what to do.…Meanwhile, I slowly came to my senses in the restroom, pinned there by a few classmates. Hearing the manager's voice outside, I gritted my teeth, steeled myself, and when they weren't looking, I threw all my strength into the door. With a loud bang, I burst out of the restroom and crashed hard onto the floor.Everyone was startled. Elliot stormed over, furious, and kicked me several times. The crash of the door startled everyone. Elliot immediately panicked and ordered his men to drag me into the restroom. They shoved me inside and slammed the door shut before he turned around to face the restaurant manager."What the hell do you think you're doing?" he snapped. "You're the manager of a top-tier restaurant, and you just barge into a private room to disturb your guests? Is this what passes for service here?" The manager paused, his eyes sweeping the room. When he didn't see me, his tone hardened. "I'm sorry for interrupting, but our service staff reported seeing our boss enter this private room a few minutes ago. Please hand him over immediately."Cleo let out a derisive laugh and pushed past one of the security guards. "You've got to be kidding me. You don't even know where your own boss went, and now you're barging in here to ask us? We're having a class reunion. Everyone in this room is one of us—there's no restaurant owner here."Her words drew laughter from th
