Samantha Point of View
It was raining for 2 hours. It's already 12 and the rain won't stop. I can hear the rain slamming through my window and hear the trees swaying from the strong wind. I looked at the rain, worried if the others are okay.
A knock was on my door as I can hear Ryder behind the door. "You can come in." The door opened and Ryder came in with an extra pillow and a blanket.
He walked towards the bed and set them in front of me. He didn't need to though. Two pillows were enough and the blanket was warm enough. But it was sweet of him to bring me those.
"Thought you might need this." He said. I murmured thank you and waited for him to say something or leave but he stood still till he sat down. I looked at him waiting for him to say something-anything. "I-" He stop
"Hey, Sa-.... Wake up. We have to go now." The light immediately hit my eyes and I groaned. My eyes adjust themselves to the light. "Okay," I said obediently and got up. He left the room and I notice my clothes from yesterday were clean and dry. Ryder must have cleaned them while I was sleeping. I got up and changed. When I was done, I walked out of the door to see him waiting for me. When we walked into the empty hall I kept thinking about the dream I just had. No. Not a dream. It's a memory. It was a piece and I'm slowly picking up the rest. I sighed. I better pick them up faster. As we reached the living room Ryder tripped over things but didn't fall. Déjà Vu. I smiled when I remembered what I said when he tripped. That takes pure skill to trip over nothing, Jackson.
Samantha Point of view "Did you have another memory?" He asks. I looked at him shocked that he knew. Is he a mind reader now? I nodded in reply. We just got out of the car then walked silently to the hospital. We got in an elevator. He pressed his thumb on the 5th floor. "What was it about?" I opened my mouth and quickly shut it. If I told him he would just say okay or walk away. In these past 2 days, I observed Ryder. I learned that he was completely shut down. Not like when he was in my memories. The Ryder in my memories was the opposite. He changed and I want to change him back. "What's wrong," Ryder asks, worried why I was silent the whole time. I mentally prepared myself. If I want to change him. If I want to get my memories back. If I want everything the way it should be. I have to do something different and stop waiting in the
Samantha Point of ViewChristina was the one who explained what the term, “heat” meant. Just like actual regular wolves, werewolves have cycles of heat, in which they have a strong desire to mate. This usually happens only with female werewolves. Unlike wolves’ heat cycle which occurs once a year during winter, werewolves’ heat cycle occurs to those who found their mate but were unable to complete their mating process. The mating process includes the male having intercourse with his mate and biting their mate in the neck. The point of the bite was to mark that that werewolf was taken and for the heat cycle not to happen again in the future. The ones who are affected by the scent of heat of the female are unmated werewolves and their mate. Family or mated werewolves are not affected at all.
Ryder Point of view Shit, shit, shit. I pressed myself on the wall trying to gain control over myself. Take her, take her, take her. Complete the mating bond. Hold her, kiss her, make her yours. I groaned and pressed both my hands on my head. Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up! Come on, Ryder. Control yourself. The timing of her heat cycle was bad. She doesn’t have her memories and has no idea what heat cycle even was. She must be scared right now. I was at the back of the hospital, trying to gain control over my wolf. She was in heat. I could smell it on her. Dammit, I can still smell it all the way here. I shut my eyes tight when I felt my eyes turning black. Breathe Ryder, breathe. "Ryd
Ryder Point of view Take her. I gripped the steering wheel. Make her yours. Breathe Ryder, breathe. I slowed down a bit to avoid any accidents. I came to a stop and parked by the sidewalk. I rested my head on the steering wheel and breathed through the urge to go back. I can’t go back to her in the state she is right now. It isn’t right. It would be the same as taking advantage of her just because I was aroused by her smell. I let out a hard sigh. If I were to come back, she has no control over herself. If we mate when she isn’t in the right mind, she might regret it the next day. She would hate me. I started hearing people outside the
Samantha Point of View My eyes feel heavy. I felt so bare. I can even feel my head aching almost as if I drank the whole night. I opened my eyes slowly. Adjusting my eyes to the light. It was a blur and I felt cold. Actually cold is not the word for it. I felt bare. My eyes literally popped open as I realized I am naked under the sheets. Oh my God, what happened last night. I bit my lip. What do you think happened last night? There are clothes on the floor, my bed is somehow a mess and so are my things on the table. The most obvious part is that I am naked on my bed. Oh my god.. Did we... I covered my face with my hands as I felt the heat rising up to my face. Crap, we did. And I don't remember any of it. Maybe that's fine. Right? Stupid, it is fine! Don't
Xavier Point of view I put the phone down and frustratingly sighed. Something was coming and we had no idea what was going on. I got up and changed into my regular clothes and started packing up my stuff. Christina comes in with a glass of water then frowns when she sees me packing up my stuff. “What are you doing?” "Packing my stuff.” Christina gave me the look. “I am fine.” “You said that last time, remember? When you went to that building with Ryder where Sam was. You collapse." Christina said in a worried voice. She sat down and held my hand. "I saw what Sam and Ryder went through without each other. I don't want to feel that way too. I don't want to lose you." I let my other hand rest on hers and my forehead touched hers. "I'm so
Riley Point of view *Flashback* "Samira," I caught the ball in my hand. It was just Ryder and me on the basketball court. This is usually where we meet up but the other two were held up by the teacher. "Who's Samira? Is that code name for Samantha?" "No, it's not. It just sounds familiar." Ryder said as I threw the ball back at him and he easily caught it. "And I told you I can't play basketball that well. I'm a football kind of type." "You're athletic and all you have to do is to throw a ball in the hoop." Ryder made a face. I laughed. “Come on. Practice makes perfect.” "I miss every time," he says. Probably because he wasn't trying. He just doesn’t know how to angle it right but when it comes
