Chapter 1

ผู้เขียน: Warm Heart
I just came home from work, and Vivian Hartley rushed over the moment I walked through the door.

She took my briefcase without a word and crouched down to help me change into slippers. I stood there like some lord of the manor, letting her fuss over me without a hint of gratitude.

She wore an apron with a bandage on her elbow and wispy strands of hair falling across her forehead that she clearly had not had time to brush back.

The wound on Vivian's arm might have stung, but it did not hurt nearly as much as my cold rejection.

"Honey, I've got dinner ready. I'm going to pick up Noah. Eat while it's hot, okay?"

She tried to take my arm playfully, but I moved away without acknowledging her.

Vivian awkwardly rubbed her hands on her apron, her lips pale as she spoke.

"My hands probably smell like cooking oil, so I won't touch you. Just leave your coat there and I'll hang it up for you.

"Don't worry, I'll wash it until it's spotless. There won't be any smell on it at all."

Vivian waited for me to respond, as if the smallest acknowledgment from me would be some kind of reward. I washed my hands and sat down to eat, not even sparing her a glance.

When Vivian posted this video online, the comments section erupted on her behalf.

"What, does your husband have evidence of you committing murder or something?"

"Girl, you need to take off those rose-colored glasses. He doesn't deserve how good you are to him."

"Seriously. If my wife treated me even a third as well as OP treats her husband, I'd wake up laughing in my sleep."

"What exactly does marriage give women? After watching this, I'm scared to get married."

Vivian defended me in the comments section.

"My husband is the pillar of our family. He's just in a bad mood. You can't really understand unless you're in his shoes."

Vivian thought I could not see her posts, but every time she uploaded something, a notification popped up on my phone.

She changed clothes in the bedroom and got ready to pick up our son from preschool.

Just then, Claire Thompson, the teacher from the preschool opened the front door.

Vivian's expression froze. Out of instinct, she forced a smile onto her face.

"Sweetie, why did you have Ms. Thompson bring you home?"

Our son, Noah, clung affectionately to Claire's leg without even turning around.

"Because I like Ms. Thompson, and Ms. Thompson likes me. Mommy, why don't you let Ms. Thompson stay for dinner with Daddy? She hasn't eaten yet either."

With that, our son grabbed Claire's thighs with both hands and tried to pull her inside.

Vivian looked rattled. She tilted her head back to keep her tears from falling.

"Sweetie, I made dinner for you and Daddy. If we add another person, there won't be enough food."

Noah pouted and looked at her with contempt. "Then why didn't you make more? Ms. Thompson would be a better mom than you."

Vivian lost her temper, her voice breaking. "Elijah Bennett, aren't you going to say something? I've worked so hard for this family, and you're all acting like the three of you are the real family here."

I poured myself a glass of wine and said indifferently, "Kids say thoughtless things. Why are you getting so worked up?

"Did I ask you to make dinner? Don't do something and then come looking for praise.

"Don't bother next time. It's annoying just looking at it."

Vivian's fingers went white from gripping them so hard. She turned and ran back to her room, then uploaded the video.

That single video gained her another 20 thousand followers. The comments section exploded.

"What's wrong with this family? The husband is heartless, the kid is ungrateful, and the preschool teacher has no sense of boundaries either!"

"Those two are probably having an affair. While the kid is still young, you should get out now. They're treating you like you don't even exist."

"I felt that in my soul. You clean, you cook, and all you get is accused of looking for praise. Your husband doesn't take your side, and your kid has been turned against you. Girl, this son is beyond saving. Leave and have another one."

"Remember, you need to have your eyes wide open when choosing a husband. If a kid isn't close to their mother, it's usually because the other parent taught them that way. In this situation, cutting your losses is the best choice."

  • My Estranged Wife Made a Move   Chapter 11

The fans at the hospital were all glued to their phones, eagerly devouring the drama. The live stream chat exploded."Don't keep it to yourselves! Show us! Elijah has all the evidence. Have we been played for fools by Vivian?""This woman is so calculating. She cheated in secret, got pregnant, and wanted her husband to raise it as his own. What man could tolerate that?"Vivian's tears streamed down her face. She dropped to her knees and bowed repeatedly."Honey, I had no choice! I'm just a woman. I'm not as strong as him!"He threatened me with the video. Please don't divorce me. I don't want to be a laughingstock online!"Smack! Paulina slapped Vivian across the face."Drop the act. You're no daughter of mine! Where is your shame?"Vivian looked stunned from the slap."Mom, you're not taking my side?""Don't call me Mom. You've humiliated yourself in front of the entire country."You told me Elijah wanted a divorce. I asked you if there was a third party in your marriage. W

The fans were furious, hurling insults at me. In their eyes, I had become a perverted creep.I looked at Paulina with a cold laugh."If anyone drugged the wine, it was your daughter."Her belly is already showing. If she didn't resort to these dirty tricks, how could she keep up this act?"Everyone present was shocked by these words.Paulina was outraged. "Elijah, you're saying my daughter drugged you?"What gives you the right to say the child isn't yours? Even if you want revenge, you can't use such an absurd excuse."I watched the hospital entrance, timing everything carefully. My parents rushed in, holding a thick stack of documents.Claire followed close behind them. She gave me a nod.I raised my voice. "Everyone, I'm going to create a group chat. The content inside will prove that Vivian cheated."Unable to contain their curiosity, they filled the chat to capacity in an instant."What you're seeing is a video of Claire's husband and the supposedly innocent Vivian chec

"Five months pregnant."The noisy chatter stopped dead in that instant. The live stream chat was flooded with so many comments that the screen was unreadable."Pregnant! Am I remembering things wrong?""Vivian and her husband haven't been intimate in three years. When did she get pregnant?""I'm Vivian's coworker. Five months ago, she was on a business trip. Did Elijah go with her?"The live stream chat began questioning the doctor's competence. The doctor immediately lost her temper. With all the attention online, questioning her medical skills could ruin her career."First of all, my eyesight is perfectly fine. If I couldn't even diagnose a pregnancy, I shouldn't be a doctor at all."Second, she looks slim because she's been wearing a waist trainer to hide it. If you don't believe me, go to another hospital. I'm willing to stake my entire career on this."Paulina felt her head splitting. She called me relentlessly. When I arrived at the hospital, I spread my hands. "Do I re

Vivian retched off camera, then clutched the trash can and vomited violently. The intense sounds alarmed her followers. But my expression showed this was long overdue.I walked over to Vivian, picked up the phone, and flipped the camera around so her followers could see what was happening to her."That's Elijah, isn't it? Your wife is throwing up. She's obviously exhausted from working so hard for you, and you still have the nerve to make us watch? You should be helping her right now.""Monster! Absolute monster! I'm calling an ambulance!""This man deserves to be drawn and quartered!"Vivian's face was pale, and she could barely walk. Her back was hunched like a shrimp, her eyes were bloodshot, and tears streamed down her face from the strain.Anyone could see how much pain she was in.I set the phone flat on the table. The live stream only showed the ceiling now. When they heard the sound of water being poured, the insults directed at me lessened slightly."At least he has

Vivian set a fixed streaming schedule. She went live before lunch and after dinner. The time in between was when I ate my meals. The moment I left my room, Vivian became anxious and tried everything to please me.Paulina had not left yet. She had been cooking all our meals for the past three days.Vivian explained the reason on her stream. She was afraid of seeing displeasure on my face, so she would rather not cook than risk angering me.I had my mother pick up and drop off Noah, which gave Vivian more freedom in the house. The company also told me not to come into work, so I spent most of my time lying in bed watching her streams.Vivian appeared full of life on camera, as if she had forgotten all about my divorce proposal. During one broadcast, she mentioned that reporters wanted to interview her at home, but she politely declined. When Paulina was home, Vivian's streams consisted of chatting with her followers. She never badmouthed me during her streams. In fact, she even de

After Paulina finished shouting, her chest heaved violently. She hunched over, her blouse buttoned incorrectly. Her silver hair added to the tragic picture she made.I vaguely remembered the wedding. When her husband and she placed Vivian's hand in mine, the two of them had looked at me with such hope and expectation in their eyes.Back then, they had not looked much older than I was now.Paulina had always been someone who valued propriety and did everything in an orderly fashion. Only her daughter could make her lose her composure like this.I kept my face stony and said carelessly to Vivian, "What are you, a child? Running to mommy every time something happens?"Your parent is here to pick you up. Get out of my sight and make it quick."Paulina laughed bitterly, her anger reaching new heights. But I quickly retreated into my room and locked the door.Paulina cursed at me a few times. When she saw that neither gentle persuasion nor harsh words would work, she sat down on the c
