Gemma.

"Try typing it in now," Julian said, stepping back from the digital keypad beside his front door.

I looked at the glass panel, then up at him. "What did you change it to?"

"October 14th," he replied. "1014. Your birthday."

A small smile touched my lips, but I shook my head as I tapped the digits into the lock. The pad beeped green, and the heavy lock clicked open smoothly.

"So, should I expect Chloe to guess my birthday next time she decides to drop in?" I joked, leaning against the door

  • My Ex-Husband’s Billionaire Boss Wants Me.   The Past Comes Knocking

JulianI had never imagined that Gemma would be the one person I would be unable to reach. For days, I had tried everything I could think of, but every attempt ended the same way. My calls went unanswered, my messages remained unread, and when I finally went to her penthouse, I discovered that she had changed the door passwords.I stood outside her door that evening for several minutes, staring at the keypad, trying the old code again, but the keypad rejected it. I tried another one, only to get the same result.I knocked.“Gemma, it’s me.”There was no response.I knocked again, harder this time.“Gemma, please open the door. I need to talk to you.”Silence.I could have forced the door open. I had enough people and resources to get inside within minutes, but I refused to do it. Gemma had made it clear that she didn’t want me near her, and as much as every part of me wanted to ignore that boundary, I couldn’t bring myself to violate her space. Not after everything she had already bee

  • My Ex-Husband’s Billionaire Boss Wants Me.   The Betrayal I Never Expected

GemmaI ran.The secretary called my name, but I didn’t stop. I barely noticed the people moving around me or the curious looks following me as I hurried through the lobby, still trying to make sense of what I saw.The image kept replaying in my mind, no matter how hard I tried to push it away. I opened that door carrying lunch for him, thinking about how happy he would be to see me, looking forward to his reaction, to the smile he would give me, the simple pleasure of doing something thoughtful for the man who had made me believe that love could be different.I reached the entrance and stepped outside, breathing fast as sweat covered my forehead. The driver was waiting beside the car.“Ma’am, is everything…”“Give me the keys.”He stared at me. “Ma’am, Mr. Ferguson said…”“Give me the damn keys!”My voice came out louder than I intended, drawing the attention of two security men standing near the entrance. He quickly reached into his pocket and handed me the keys. I snatched them fro

  • My Ex-Husband’s Billionaire Boss Wants Me.   The Moment Everything Changed

Gemma“Ahhhhh! Did you agree?”I quickly pulled the phone away from my ear as Gigi’s excited scream filled the kitchen, making me laugh while I continued stirring the scrambled eggs on the stove.“Gigi, why are you shouting?” I asked, placing the phone back against my ear. “You sound like I just told you I won a million dollars.”“This is better than a million dollars,” she replied, sounding genuinely happy. “You’re moving in with Julian, Gemma. Did you actually say yes?”“Yes, I accepted.”Another excited scream came through the phone, I turned the eggs in the pan before lowering the heat. I had decided to make pancakes and scrambled eggs for myself and Julian that morning, especially since he had been taking such good care of me lately. I wanted to do something thoughtful for him, even if it was something as simple as preparing breakfast before he went to work.“Julian gave me solid reasons why I should move in with him,” I explained, reaching for the bowl of pancake batter. “He sai

  • My Ex-Husband’s Billionaire Boss Wants Me.   The Question I Never Expected

Gemma.Three days later, we were at the airport, standing close to Katia as she prepared to leave. The private jet was already on the tarmac.James was speaking with one of the men handling the flight while Julian stood a little farther away, making sure everything was in order. Katia had her passport and documents in her hand.I held her hand.“You’re really leaving.”She smiled, though her eyes were already beginning to shine. “I know. It still doesn’t feel real.”“You have everything you need. And you’ll have people waiting for you when you get there.”James walked over after finishing his conversation with the staff.“Everything is ready,” he told Katia. “The house has been prepared, and everything you asked for has been taken care of. There’s a car waiting for you, and someone will be there to help you settle in when you arrive.”“Thank you,” she said sincerely. “I don’t even know how to thank all of you.”“You don’t have to,” James replied. “Just get there safely.”Gigi stepped

  • My Ex-Husband’s Billionaire Boss Wants Me.   Nothing Left to Say

Gemma. The drive was quiet. I looked out the window, my mind fixed on one thing. I needed to hear from Sam myself. When we arrived, I opened the car door and stepped out. Gigi followed me as we walked toward the house.Richard’s house.Martha, one of the oldest maids who had worked for us for years, stepped out into the hallway. Her eyes went wide when she saw me.“Mrs. Black—oh, sorry, Miss Gemma.” She fumbled, clearly caught off guard.“Where is Sam?”She hesitated, glancing toward the stairs. “He’s… the young master is upstairs. Let me go call him…”“Don’t worry about it,” I said, walking past her. “I’ll get him.”Before I could reach the stairs, I heard footsteps coming from upstairs.Richard came down first, wearing that smug, self-satisfied look he always had when he thought things were going his way. Angela followed right behind him, a grin on her face. And behind them was Sam.“Gemma, if you’re here about the…”“Did you know your father was cheating on me before I found out?”

  • My Ex-Husband’s Billionaire Boss Wants Me.   The Weight of Knowing

Gemma“You’re finally awake,” Gigi said when she saw me. “I was starting to think Julian’s morning routine had completely spoiled you.”I rolled my eyes.“Do you ever start a day without talking about Julian?”“Why would I?” She grinned. “He’s my favorite topic.”Katia laughed, and I shook my head as I took the shopping list from her. We were supposed to help her pack for the trip.“Is this everything?” I asked, scanning the paper.“Most of it,” Katia said softly. “I tried to keep it short. I don’t want you guys spending too much money on me.”“You’re moving away, Katia. You can’t travel with one small bag like you’re going for a weekend picnic,” Gigi said, taking the list from me. “We’re making sure you actually have clothes.”“I know, but I don’t want to be a burden.”“You are not a burden,” I told her. “We want to do this, so stop worrying.”Gigi pointed at the list. “And don’t worry about me either. I took a few days off work. I’m free, you’re free, and Gemma has a boyfriend who t
