Chapter Ninety-One

Camilla’s POV

TWO MONTHS LATER

I finally felt like my life was back on track. I was in a good position in the office. I’d formed a good relationship with most of the staff and proved myself worthy of being there. My life felt peaceful, no drama, no rumors, no article about me. I liked it.

As for me and Raphael, we hadn’t really seen each other. All communication between us was through our lawyers and Martha. It was back and forth between our lawyers trying to come up with a custody arrangement. We were currently doing four days with me and then three days with him.

On Thursday’s I would drop her off at school and he would pick her up. Then the next time I got to see her was on Monday’s when I picked her up from school. I would say that it wasn’t really fair on her to be alternating like that but there was nothing really to do.

I and Raphael would be seeing each other for the first time in a long time at Rory’s Pre-K graduation which was the next day. It was on a Fr

Camilla is turning to be disgusting and a coward. Her Grandfather also shouldn’t intervene. So self righteous. Now is her turn loose.

I agree. Camilla deserves to suffer and be left alone. Raphael has been very nice and accommodating and her selfishness is affecting Rory.

  • My Ex-Husband’s Regret   Chapter Ninety-Three

Chapter Ninety-ThreeCamilla’s POVAfter the lunch on Rory’s graduation, the dynamic between Raphael and I shifted again. That day, I kind of realized that co-parenting didn't mean we had to be enemies. If I wanted a healthy co parenting situation for my daughter, I had to have a good relationship with Raphael.Although Raphael and I hadn’t found the time to sit down and talk about the arrangement, things were kind of fine between us. The only thing that our lawyers were taking care of right now was legally changing Rory’s name. We had decided to hyphenate it. Her legal name would be Aurora Faith Brown-Edwards.She was staying in Raphael’s house for the week. Since they were out of school and she had spent two extra days with me, Raphael and I decided to just let her stay at his place throughout the week. She was excited for the sleepovers with Jason. She had called this night before she went to bed to tell me that they were having a sleepover in the living room with the forts that th

  • My Ex-Husband’s Regret   Chapter Ninety-Two

Chapter Ninety-TwoRaphael’s POVThe graduation ceremony ended with the kids singing a song. Rory and Jason stood at the front probably because they knew all the words to the songs. We made our way outside to wait for the kids to come out. A few minutes later, Rory rushed outside into Camilla’s arms. She picked her up and gave her a tight hug. I could tell she was still pretty emotional from watching Rory up there. I smiled.Jason came out seconds later.“Are we all ready to head to lunch?” The chairman asked.“Yes. I'm a bit hungry.” Rory said.“Me too.” Jason said.“Let’s go then.” Camilla said.We got into the car and made our way to the restaurant. It was owned by the chairman. It was closed temporarily so that we wouldn’t have any distractions while having lunch. We made our orders and waited for the food to arrive. While waiting, the waiters brought in a cake that said, ‘congratulations Rory and Jason’. They were both excited to see the cake. They were also excited about the gif

  • My Ex-Husband’s Regret   Chapter Ninety

Chapter NinetyRaphael’s POVI was getting ready for work and also to take Jason to school. Even though I would normally let the driver and Tamara do the work when I’m busy at work, I made sure to drop him off everyday this week. It was just an excuse to see Camilla. But so far, Martha has been the one doing the drop-offs. I was still hopeful though.Since the Gala night, we hadn’t spoken to each other or even seen each other. I was trying to give her space because I knew that what happened that night would be difficult for her to talk about. So I wanted her to come to me when she was ready to talk.I was hoping I would see her today and talk. The necklace I got at the auction was finally sent to her. I was hoping that would be an avenue to talk to me.We were finally ready and we left the house. After a few minutes, we got to school. We got down and made our way into the building. Few steps away from the classroom, I spotted her. I was trying so hard to hide my smile. Jason spotted h

Chapter Eighty-NineCamilla’s POVFour days since the Gala had passed and that moment between me and Raphael had happened. Surprisingly, I hadn’t spoken to him since then. I couldn’t bring myself to face him. After the kiss that day, we didn’t speak until the car ride was over and he dropped me at home.“Mummy, I want Daddy to take me to school.” Rory cried.“Baby, Daddy’s busy.”“That’s a lie. He drops Jason off at school every day. Why can’t he drop me off?”I didn't know what answer to give to her. “After school, you’ll speak to Daddy, okay? Then we can talk about him taking you to school tomorrow.”“Okay.” She said and grabbed her backpack. Few minutes later, we were out the door. One of the security guards came to me and handed me a package.“What’s that, mommy?”“I don’t know, baby. Let’s go back inside and open it. We still have time before you have to be in school.”We went back inside. I opened the package carefully. I had a clue of what was in it already. I brought out the

  • My Ex-Husband’s Regret   Chapter Eighty-Eight

Chapter Eighty-EightRaphael’s POVThe Gala was scheduled to start by 6pm but I would be going by 7pm to avoid all the red carpet drama. This was the fourth year in a row that I would be going alone. I’ve always gone with Camilla when we were married and Tori when we were together.I adjusted my tie in the mirror and got one last look at myself before I left the house. By the time I arrived, the event was already in full swing. I greeted a lot of people and made small talk with them.I went to the bar to grab something to drink. I was talking to one of the hosts by the bar when someone caught my eye. It was Camilla. She was in this floor length green dress that had a long slit up to her thigh. She was with a group of people with Jeremy Steel on her arm.My eyes kept going to them.“Is there a problem?” The man asked.“Oh, no, no.” I said and returned to the conversation. After a while, I noticed that Camilla was all by herself. Her date had left her to go talk to some other people so
