Chapter One Hundred and One

Camilla’s POV

The past few weeks I’d focused on work. The board had actually called Jeremy and I to ask us what our relationship was. We simply told them we were friends and coworkers who managed to be caught up in the heat of the moment.

We promised to maintain a professional relationship moving forward. I was working on building a new campaign for the company. I barely got enough sleep and was working nights.

I was about to go to sleep when I got a text. It was from Raphael. He asked if we could talk. It was like I didn’t have control over my own body when I texted him back saying yes.

I agreed to meet him and I put on some clothes and grabbed my keys. I didn’t tell anybody I was going out. I drove over to his house to pick him up. He suggested we go to a park that was nearby.

I helped him out of the car because of his leg and we went to one of the beaches in the park. It was dark and quiet. The only source of light was from a few street lights. We were

  • My Ex-Husband’s Regret   Chapter One Hundred

Chapter One HundredRaphael’s POVAfter three weeks, I’d improved significantly. I started going to the office again. I didn’t visit the project sites yet but at least I was out of the house. I was waiting until I was better before going on the trip I had planned with Rory and Jason. They were supposed to be out of school but we decided it was best to keep them in summer school. They didn’t like it though. But Camilla and I were too busy to just have the kids stay in the house all day without spending any time with them.Camilla still didn’t say anything about Jeremy since that night. The rumors that they were dating died down pretty fast though. Their PR team did a good job. They haven’t been seen together since the incident. I’d be lying to myself if I said I didn’t have feelings for how. I didn’t know how I would communicate that to how without her thinking it was just a game. I knew that there was nothing I could do that would erase the hurt she felt years ago. Right now, I was j

Chapter Ninety-NineCamilla’s POV“Can one of you explain to me what this means?” My grandfather asked.“It’s not what you think. It's a moment taken out of context.” I replied.“How can a kiss be taken out of context, Camilla? It either happened or didn't. I expected better from both of you. The last thing we need right now is a scandal about Camilla's name.”“I'm so very sorry, sir. We didn’t mean for it to happen.” Jeremy responded.“Even if you wanted to be in a relationship right now, Camilla, not with Jeremy. What will the board think?”“We can explain that it was nothing.”“You're really making me annoyed with that talk, Camilla. The relationship between the two of you shouldn’t be anything more than cordial.” My grandfather said.“I'm sorry.” I whispered. “It won’t happen again.”“We’ll make sure to maintain a business relationship moving forward.” Jeremy spoke.“I’ll talk to the board and I’ll get the PR team to clear up the rumors. Make sure this never happens again. No more

  • My Ex-Husband’s Regret   Chapter Ninety-Eight

Chapter Ninety-Eight Raphael's POV I was finally discharged at the end of day. I still had trouble walking fine but I was better than before so I was free to go home. I only hoped that the accident wouldn’t affect my work. I went back home late at night. Jason was sleeping over at Camilla’s house. She had informed my mum that Tori had gone to pick him up from school but she wasn’t allowed to. I’d removed her from the authorized pickup list when her addiction was getting worse. I didn’t want her to be with Jason without me knowing. I hadn’t seen her since the accident. Camilla said she was fine and that she was at her house spending time with Jason. I felt good about the fact that Camilla was being nice to Tori. She really changed over the past few years. The Camilla I knew now was different from the one I was married to. I told my mum and sister they could go. They had their own lives and I didn't want them to be worried about me. They dropped me off at home and left. I hadn

Chapter Ninety-SevenCamilla’s POVAfter 12 hours, Raphael had finally woken up. The drunk driver who had hit their car was already arrested. He tried to flee the scene earlier. Tori had managed to get out of the car with only a few injuries. When she had called me the previous night, I rushed to the hospital and then called Raphael’s mum and sister.“Why did you choose to stay with me?” Raphael asked me. I didn’t really know why, his mum and sister could have been here but I volunteered to stay. “Because you’re the father of my child?” I said in a questioning manner.“That’s all?”“Yes, why else would I be here?”“So you’re not worried about me?”“The doctor said you should rest. I think the concussion is making you say things.” I said to shut him down. “I'm going to call your mum and tell her you're awake already.” I stood up and wanted to leave but he held my hand back.“Thank you. For staying here with me.”“You’re welcome.” I said and rushed out of the room. I brought out my p

  • My Ex-Husband’s Regret   Chapter Ninety-Six

Chapter Ninety-SixRaphael’s POVThe day started off as usual. I and Jason got ready for the day and then I went to drop him off at school before heading to work. Rae enterprises had already reached out to me and given me feedback. We had signed the contract already. One of the clauses was that I would personally oversee the project, I couldn’t hand it over to someone else. That wasn’t a problem because I didn’t plan to do that anyways.I got to work about 2 minutes late. I had a bunch of files waiting for me on my desk and my assistant brought my morning coffee for me. After hours of meetings and paperwork, I headed down for lunch with a client. It seemed like I never had any free time except for when I was at home. After lunch, I went back to the office. I still had some meetings before the day ended for me. After I was done for the day, I went to pick up Tori. Since the night I picked her up from rehab, she hadn’t seen Jason. She said she wasn’t ready to see him yet and I respect
