—12hours later—

“Dennis, find my wife! She must not leave this city without my consent,” Lucas instructed his personal assistant, sweat coming out of his forehead.

Tara was with him, “Calm down, Lucas. She might be pranking you and I’m sure she will be back soon. Don’t panic,” She told him, in hope that it would make him stop panicking but no.

“Elena is with my child, Tara. She’s carrying my heir! I can’t let no harm happen to her, never,” Lucas said firmly pushing Tara to a side.

Tara folded her fist, angry and buttered about the situation. Lucas is worried about Elena.

Lucas didn’t care about anyone at that moment, his eyes glued to the screen and Cctv of where Elena could have gone.

Elena knew it wouldn’t be easy to find her since she’s an orphan, and that alone was stressing Lucas out.

“We found her location, she’s at the airport as we speak…” One of the officers announce making Lucas’s face lit up. “…but seems her flight is about off,” He added.

Lucas eyes dropped immediately, he folded his fist, “Stop all flight right now! Hack into their server! Do anything to stop my wife from leaving! Right now!”

Tara bite her fingers then suddenly faked an headache, “Ahh,” She let out a scream and collapsed to the floor, Lucas widened his eyes and ran to her side.

“Tara? Tara?!” He called, his heart beating fast. “Call the ambulance!” He called out carrying her in his arms.

Tara was rushed to the hospital, making Lucas distracted from

what he’s doing, she slightly opened her eyes after she has been given an IV.

Then, Lucas phone rang…he was sitting beside Tara bed and he looked at the caller and it was the officer, he wanted to pick when Tara grasp the hem of his cloth.

“Please don’t leave me, Lucas. I can’t stay alone,” Tara muttered, pretending to be feeling weak.

Lucas looked at her and kept his phone away, “I’m sorry I’ve been so out of the place lately. I haven’t been paying attention to you all day,,” Lucas pleaded, caressing Tara’s hand and kissing it.

“It’s fine. I’m sure you’re just concerned about your wife. Don’t worry, she will come around, trust me,” Tara said, with a little smile.

Then, all of sudden…Dennis, his personal assistant rushed into the room, his breathe getting faint. Lucas was surprised, “What’s wrong Dennis? Why did you barge in like that?”

“Mrs Elena…Mrs Elena..Her plane crashed.”

Lucas popped out his eyes, “What the hell are you spitting?!” He roared, standing up from his seat.

Tara was shocked…shocked that Elena death came right in time.

Just to back up what Dennis said, the TV in the room became louder to their ears, the anchor spoke:

Breaking New: Flight AE789 has crashed with over 150 people on board. News is that, no one survived.

‘Oh finally. She’s gone, Elena is Dead.’ Tara thought in her head, she couldn’t even hid her victory smile.

---FIVE YEARS LATER——

RINESTONE CITY HALL—Quinn’s Exhibit.

“$60,000!”

“$75,000!”

“95,000!”’

“95,000! Going! Niue Roon Necklace going for 95,000–”

“A million dollar!” A voice erupted just as the bidder was about hit on the mark.

Everyone gasp in the audience, who the hell buys an art piece for a million dollar? Everyone turned to see who had just said that but no one could recognize her, she was putting on a black dress all through.

“A million dollar?! Niue Roon art Necklace going for $1m! Sold!!” The bidder said and it was sold.

Soon, the exhibit ended. Tara locked her hands into Lucas’s and was beaming all through the gallery.

“I want to go home already, Tara. I’m getting tired,” Lucas told her but Tara pouted and acted like she’s about to cry.

“Stay a little longer. Oh! That reminds me, Kate White is here! The young woman who owns K artistry…the one you have been trying to sell your project to!” Tara finally said making Lucas interested in what she has to say.

“Really? Are you sure? I’ve been trying to get to her since ages!” Lucas beamed.

“I heard she bought a piece of art for a million dollar!” Tara added.

“Then, I must get to pitch my work to her. Where is-”

A lady passed beside him, her fascinator slightly covering a part of her eyes, she was putting black all through. Lucas froze at the view, he blank out at the brief glance.

“E-Elena?” His voice was low but still, Tara could hear him.

It’s been five years already but Lucas is still stuck in the past. Tara breathed out, “Seriously Lucas? Are you going to ruin this good date with you mentioning her name? Elena is dead!” Tara snapped.

Lucas jerked back to reality and rub his neck, he must be seeing something else, “ Er..I’m sorry. Can you set me up with Kate White today?”

Tara rolled her eyes, “Fine.. I can call my-”

“Dear ladies and gents, come forward to the auditorium. We have few guest in the gallery and few of our sponsors who would like to say one or two. There’s also refreshments,” An announcement came on, interrupting what Tara was saying.

“Let’s go. Kate White is one of the Sponsors, I will introduce you,” with that Tara pulled Lucas into the auditorium.

The speech started while Lucas searched if he could see Kate White. No one recognized her well since she has always been on black.

“…and finally, to our number one sponsor. Kate White. A round of applause for her as she gives her speech,” The host said, leaving the stage for Kate White.

She walked magnificently on the stage, her white heels clicking on the stage like a parade. “Hi everyone, I’m Kate White.” Taking off her feathers fascinators afterwards.

Lucas was dumbfounded at the view, “ Elena..?

Tara stood star-struck, “How is that possible? What’s she doing up there? She’s—she’s dead? Isn’t she?
