Chapter 12

At breakfast Dylan sensed that something was different about his father.

"Daddy, you look happy today, did something good happen?", Dylan peeked from behind his bowl and looked at his father, as did Edward's parents who also stared at their son.

Edward was a taciturn person who faced the world with one expression, that of indifference. Therefore, it was difficult to tell when he was happy or sad, and only his close families could pick up the non-verbal clues that allowed them to discern his mood.

"Dylan, my love, your father must be happy, but it hasn't happened yet, and yes, it will. Your father will accompany Betina later to try on her wedding dress, so you realize he is happy," Greta, Edward's mother spoke explaining to her grandson.
