After securing his room, Edward exited through the hotel's back door and headed towards Veronica's residence.

Veronica didn't live far from the small hotel, but it would still take ten minutes to walk there. She resided in a dilapidated residential area. The surroundings consisted of old, abandoned three-story buildings. Most of them had broken windows and, looking from the outside, appeared completely dark and uninhabited.

Only a few rooms had dim lights filtering from within. The streetlights in this residential area were all broken, and the place was dark. Occasionally, the hissing of cats from the overgrown bushes could be heard; it was the perfect setting for a horror movie.

However, Liana wasn't afraid. Besides caution, there was no trace of fear on her face. She followed the address and inspected the buildings one by one, and after some effort, she finally found where Veronica was located.
