Chapter 472

Armed with a curious heart, Liana entered this small, old-looking hotel. Sitting behind the antique counter was a middle-aged man tallying the accounts. He was thin, and though the shirt he wore was outdated, it was of a certain luxury, and there was a calculating glint in his eyes. Liana could tell, with just a glance, that he was the hotel manager.

The manager saw her, and his gaze swiftly traversed her entire body. He then stood up with a smile to inquire.

"Accommodation?"

"Yes, give me your best room," Liana said as she handed him her temporary identity, as she had acquired temporary residence in the country and didn't need to carry her passport.

The manager accepted her identity and studied it. He asked with a smile, "Where are you from? It says here that you're not from this country."

"The United States," Liana replied in an emotionless tone. Normally, others wouldn't have pressed further, but the manager typed her information unhurriedly and continued to ask.
