Chapter 2
At the wedding venue, it was truly every woman’s dream to have such a grand and beautiful wedding. They all looked envious when Ella’s car arrived and packed right at the end of the red carpet. After everything she heard in the car, Ella had requested to ride alone. She did not care about what happened to the two bitches as she had left them stranded on the road. She had wanted to run away and disappear but remembering the man’s cold warning, and the fact that there was nowhere she would hide that he will never find her, she gritted her teeth and decided to play along. She was also afraid that her grandfather might be disappointed in her and although her heart was hurting like hell, she had no choice but to show up.“Are you okay?” The stylist asked with concern. She heard everything that Kate and her sister talked about and saying that she was shocked was an understatement. After all, no woman would be happy after realizing that the man she had dedicated her life to, was a total scumbag. She could tell that Ella really loved that man and that was why she was so hurt.“I will be okay. It's just that I cannot breathe with all the pain that I am feeling. I feel like the more I stay in this dress, the more my life is being sacked away.”“Then why don’t you tell Old Master Edmond what is going on? That woman will be here, and that is irrefutable evidence that his grandson has been cheating on you all along. I am sure he will understand and he will be able to help you.”“No, I cannot do that. I don’t want to break my grandfather’s heart. He has been too excited, and he has been looking forward the most to this day. I don’t want to disappoint him.” Ella shook her head. The last person she wanted to hurt was that man. She owed him her life and the least she could do was make his dream come true.Even though she knew that the old man would definitely stand up for her and punish that cheater, he would be heartbroken and disappointed, and she did not want to see that happen. She would better suffer than see her grandfather live in the pain of knowing that, his grandson was not the man he thought he was. After calming down, Ella alighted from the car holding a huge bouquet of peach blossom. They were her favorite flowers and paired with her custom-made wedding dress, she looked like a proper bride.“Wow, I have always thought that this woman was beneath Master Edmond, who would have thought that she would be this beautiful on her wedding day?”“Yeah, everyone has always disdained her, but I have to admit that she looks nothing like that little woman who used to follow Daniel around as if she was his foot accessory.”“This is the most perfect wedding I have attended, and I don’t think that there would be anyone of a kind in the near future.”Everyone marveled when they saw Ella. They were shocked at how charismatic she was, and how classy she was looking in the long wedding dress. The socialites who had looked down on her had nothing to say at the moment. This woman’s beauty was out of this world.Old Master Edmond was probably the happiest after seeing Ella. That could be seen by the huge smile that was plastered on his face. Finally… finally… his stubborn grandson was going to get married. The only person that maintained a cold and indifferent expression was Daniel. He only sent Ella a warning glare, telling her not to do anything silly. Or to reveal anything that should not be revealed.Ella stood at the end of the red carpet and only started walking slowly when the lovely wedding tune started to play. Her face was pale and her eyes were lifeless. She was glad that she was wearing a veil as it was able to hide away her pain. With every step she took, she felt the energy in her body dwindle. It was like she was climbing the impossible Mount Everest as her legs became heavy and heavy.Besides that, she had to smile happily as she looked at the man who was upfront. in her dream, this must have been the happiest day of her life, but reality had hit her hard like a tornado. She did not dare imagine what will become of her after she leaves this place. She did not even know where she will be staying. With all the confused thoughts racing through her mind, Ella finally reached the altar. Her back was covered in a cold sweat as if she has just finished running a ten kilometers cross-country race.“Daniel Edmond, do you take Ella Smith as your lawful wife, to love and to hold until death do us part?”The priest recited the vows and the man did not hesitate to answer in his emotionless voice, “Yes I do.”“Ella Smith, do you take Daniel Edmond as your lawfully wedded husband, to love and to hold until death do us part?”Ella looked at the man with her eyes glistening with tears. She honestly did not know what to say because the words seemed to have been stuck in her throat. It was only after she received Daniel’s threatening gaze that she reluctantly nodded her head, “Yes I do.” She said in a choked voice.“I now pronounce you husband and wife, Master Edmond, you may kiss the bride.” The priest declared. The room was filled with a round of applause as the priest said his concluding remark.“Kiss the bride, kiss the bride.” The crowd shouted.Ella looked at the man and she was sure that he was not going to kiss her, given how she was so disgusting to him. He had his sweetheart waiting for him to kiss her, how could he kiss her, the disgusting sl*t that has been clinging to him?Daniel looked at the face that he loathed and his face darkened when he heard everyone shouting. Although he was disgusted by the thought of locking lips with this bi*ch, he did not have a choice since he had to make their act convincing enough for his grandfather’s sake.He lifted the veil in her face only to find the woman’s face covered in tears. He was startled and for a moment, he did not know what to do. But it was only for a split second before he leaned his head and lightly kissed her on the lips. Her tears had nothing to do with him. Maybe she was just too excited that her dream was finally coming true.Ella widened her eyes in shock when she realized what the man was doing. Was he actually going to kiss her? Before her brain could process anything, she felt a light peck on her lips and the fireworks in her head went off with a loud ‘boom!’Daniel had actually kissed her?Her heart skipped a beat and she was excited. Her pale face turned a tad red but before she could enjoy the moment, a cold voice was heard in her ear, making her body turn stiff as if it had been hit by lightning from the words that she heard.“Don’t be too excited, this is just for show.”I want to take this opportunity to appreciate the Almighty and each one of you. Chapter 114 (Last Chapter) They could not believe that she came from such a powerful family and that she had not used her background to make a name for herself in the Showbiz. Those who had laughed at her and made fun of her background, even coming here to specifically embarrass her felt their faces burn. They were so abashed that they wished they could just disappear in an instant. Although Daniel and Ella were not involved in the entertainment, their names were known all over the business world. Just a word from them and they could end their lives in an instant. They were so glad yet fearful that Clarissa had not used her family influence ever since she joined Showbiz, or else they could not have known how they died. Clarissa looked at her brothers and sister and continued the introduction, “My siblings’ identities are very sensitive due to the nature of their jobs, so they cannot reveal their faces or names to the public. But they are glad that there are so many people today to
Chapter 113 Since Clarissa had decided to go all out, she had invited her friends from Showbiz. A few of them knew of her real identity and they could not miss the opportunity to associate with the rich. The moment six o’clock hit, the gates to the first Diamond Hotel were opened and luxury cars entered one after another. When the fans and the reporters saw that, although it was just a birthday banquet, they felt as if they were here to attend some award ceremony. They were so excited that they could not stop screaming. One celebrity after another descended the luxury cars. Others had their managers and assistants with them while others were on their own. Seeing that even those from the rival companies had come, the fans and reporters were stunned. Was this really a normal birthday banquet, because the lineup on the red carpet, was one of a kind. The fans were screaming once in a while every moment they saw someone they liked. But all their focus was on the gate, waiting for th
Chapter 112 Their eighteenth birthday arrived in no time. Caleb, Castor, Clare, and Carl had all returned to the country. Castro was preparing to take over his mother’s position as the CEO of Diamond Real Estate Investment because Daniel could still hold his forte for a while at Edmond and Co. Caleb and Clare were rising in ranks because of their brilliant performance while Carl was still a ‘high school teacher.’ Clarissa was now a top-tier model and her fan base had over a billion fans. Everyone was curious about her mysterious background but she remained tight-lipped. Diamond Real Estate has expanded over the years and now it owns several hotels in the city. The quintuplet's eighteenth birthday was being held in the first hotel that Ella bought since it held precious memories for her and her family. The preparations began one week earlier. Every time Ella thought about how her kids were finally going to leave her care, and become independent, although they had never needed her f
Chapter 111 Outside the beautifully decorated garden, a huge table was placed in the middle and all kinds of dishes were arranged there. Seeing the kids appear, Jane stood up and helped Ella with the seating arrangement. The men sat down watching their wives busy around as they sipped their beers. Paul looked at the all-grown kids and he could not help but feel emotional. He said in a hoarse voice, “I can’t believe that time has moved so fast. I still remember the first time I held those rascals in my arms. It feels like yesterday, they are almost eighteen.” Daniel looked at his kids and his expression was filled with love and gentleness. Only if he had not been an ass back then, he would not have missed such a great moment. Every time he thought about how another man had experienced what was supposed his, although he was not in a romantic relationship with his wife, he always felt jealous. But he was glad that Ella had given him another princess whom he had spoiled to the exten
Chapter 110 Carl and the rest had returned to their rooms, and they were getting ready to start the Christmas celebrations. Clare looked at Carl and Caleb and revealed a worried expression. She asked in a small voice, “Have you guys noticed something weird about Castro? His expression before he left was like that of someone who had lost his wife.” Caleb nodded when he heard Clare. “I noticed too, the moment I saw him. When I asked him about it, he was not willing to say anything.” Carl looked at them with a calm expression, “He is going through a heartbreak. But he will be okay.” Both Caleb and Clare were stunned when they heard Carl. They shouted in unison, “What?” They knew that Castro loved Samantha and they had all encouraged him to pursue her. Samantha had finally accepted him and if he was heartbroken, then there was only one possibility, Samantha had ditched their brother. They did not believe for a moment that it was their brother’s fault. They knew how much he loved Sam
