I stared down at the two dark, bold pink lines, my knees buckling until I hit the cold bathroom tiles. The world felt like it was spinning completely out of control.

Pregnant. With Ethan’s baby.

The door unlocked and opened softly. Maya stepped inside, her eyes dropping to the plastic stick in my trembling hand. She gasped, kneeling next to me and wrapping her arms tightly around my shaking shoulders.

"Oh, Olivia..." Maya breathed, her voice cracking with pure empathy. "It's... it's Ethan's, isn't it?"

I could only nod, tears silently streaming down my face.

“Oh my God.” She gasped. My throat was dry as I stared at the lines, like it was going to disappear.

"Olivia, listen to me," Maya said firmly, pulling back to look me straight in the eyes. "You have to tell him. Whatever happened between you two, forget it. This is his child. He's a billionaire, Olivia. He has power. He can protect you from Kelvin, and he has a right to know—"

"No!" I choked out, a wave of violent panic surging through my chest. "No, Maya, I can't! Never!"

"Olivia—"

"You didn't see his face!" I sobbed, gripping my head in my hands. "You didn't see the disgust in his eyes when he backed me against that wall. He thinks I set him up! He thinks I'm a manipulative, money-hungry whore who planned the entire thing with Kelvin! He swore he would ruin me!”

I looked at Maya, my heart breaking into a thousand pieces. "He hates me, Maya. Deep in his soul, he utterly hates me. If he finds out about this baby, he’ll think it’s just another ploy to trap him. He will hate this child just as much as he hates me, or worse... the Blackwoods will take my baby away and destroy me completely. I cannot risk it."

"What about your adoptive family?" Maya urged gently, rubbing my back. "Can't you go back to them just until you get on your feet?"

A bitter, dry laugh escaped my lips. "My adoptive parents? They took me in out of charity and never let me forget it. They forced me into a contract marriage to save Evelyn. Now that Evelyn is pregnant and Kelvin is tossing me aside, they’ll only scowl in my face and throw me out. I have no family, Maya. I am completely alone."

Maya held me tighter as I wept into her shoulder. After several long minutes of suffocating silence, I wiped my face with the back of my hand and drew a deep, ragged breath. A strange, quiet resolve settled deep in my stomach.

"I have to leave," I said, my voice dropping into a steady, dead quiet.

Maya stiffened. "What? Olivia, no! Where would you even go?"

"Somewhere far away," I said, standing up on unsteady legs. "Somewhere the Blackwoods can't touch me. Ethan promised to ruin me here. He’s already blacklisted me from every jewelry design firm in the country. If I stay, I’m useless. I’ll be starving on the street with a child."

"Olivia, please think about this!" Maya cried out, standing up and grabbing both my hands. "You have no one else out there! You're pregnant, you're exhausted, and you're alone! Stay here with me—"

"And let them track me down?" I shook my head tearfully. "No. I have to protect my baby. Don't worry about me, Maya. I have some savings left over from my work at Tiffany&Co—I never spent a dime of Kelvin's money. It’s enough to get me a plane ticket to Europe and cover my living expenses until I find a new job under a fresh start. I will survive. I have to."

Maya stared at my pale, determined face. Seeing the absolute certainty in my eyes, the resistance melted out of her, replaced by a fierce, protective sorrow.

"Okay," Maya whispered, pulling me into a tight, desperate hug. "Okay. I’ll help you pack."

She pulled back, a dangerous, dark glint suddenly taking over her eyes. "But we are not letting Kelvin and Evelyn walk away clean. Give me your phone."

I fumbled in my bag and handed her my device. Maya quickly connected it to her encrypted drive, transferring the real video file of Kelvin and Evelyn in my bed.

"I'm a senior entertainment reporter, Olivia," Maya said, a cold, venomous smile playing on her lips. "By the time your plane touches down tomorrow morning, this video will be broadcasting on every major television network and news portal in North America. . Blackwood will know the truth, and Kelvin ’s precious CEO dreams will burn to the ground.”

An hour later, I stood near the departure gate at the international airport, my single duffel bag slung over my shoulder.

The overhead speakers chimed softly: FLIGHT 402 TO SPAIN - NOW BOARDING.

I looked down at my phone one last time. I pulled out the SIM card, snapped it cleanly in half, and tossed the pieces into a nearby trash can. Placing a gentle hand over my flat stomach, I felt a quiet, fierce warmth blooming against the hollow pain in my chest.

I turned around and walked down the jetway, leaving my past—and the men who destroyed it—behind forever.

Seven Years Later"Mommy, I don't want to stay in the hospital again," My baby's voice crackled through the phone, with a tired grumbling. "I want to go home. It smells like medicine here, and the beds are scratchy."I sank into my office chair, pressing a hand to my forehead as a sharp ache throbbed behind my eyes. "No, baby, the doctor said you have to stay for a bit. Your condition will get worse if you leave now, and Mommy needs you to get better.""But I feel fine now!" he protested softly. "I just want to play with my trains.""I know, my heart," I said, softening my voice to a soothing murmur. "Put the phone on speaker and give it to your nanny for a second, okay?"There was a heavy rustle on the other end before Elena’s warm, polite voice came through. "Ms. Olivia?”"Elena, how is he really?" I asked, dropping the light facade. "What did the doctor say when he came in for the rounds?"Elena sighed, stepping out into the quiet hallway so Vincent wouldn't hear. "The specialist s

Olivia's pov I marched into the Blackwood Corporate Headquarters, my blood boiling so hot I could barely feel the ground beneath my feet."You can't go up there, ma'am!" the front desk guard called out, scrambling after me as I pressed the button for the executive elevators."Tell Kelvin Blackwood if he doesn't see me right now, I’m screaming the truth in this lobby until the police arrive!" I shouted back, tears of pure rage stinging my eyes. The guard frantically spoke into his earpiece, listened for two seconds, and let out a heavy sigh. "Floor 40. He'll see you."I rode the elevator up, my hands clenched into tight fists. The moment the doors opened on the top floor, I shoved open the heavy oak doors of Kelvin 's corner office.Kelvin was sitting behind his massive glass desk, casually sipping espresso as if he hadn't just destroyed my life."You sick, pathetic bastard!" I yelled, slamming my palms onto his desk. "An AI video? You framed me for cheating to cover up what you and E

Ethan's pov I stepped out of the private elevator and into my corner office, slamming the heavy double doors shut behind me.The silence of the room was oppressive, but it did nothing to quiet the chaotic storm raging in my mind. Opening the top drawer of my desk, I bypassed the whiskey bottle and reached straight for the pill, shaking out two distinct navy-blue capsules into my palm. I didn't bother with water; I just swallowed them whole, pushing down the familiar, bitter taste that had followed me since my early twenties.Just a precaution, I reminded myself, grimacing as I closed the drawer. The stress from the Australia expansion was already pushing my levels. I don't need a flare-up now.I leaned against the massive glass desk, unbuttoning my collar with a harsh, impatient tug, and stared out over the sprawling city skyline. I couldn't believe what had happened last night. After moving to Australia to avoid the torture of them being together in guise of expanding the family

Olivia’s PovThe faint, rhythmic hum of central air conditioning woke me.I blinked against the harsh morning light filtering through unfamiliar sheer curtains, my head pounding with a heavy hangover. I shifted under the crisp white duvet, my body aching with a deep, unfamiliar soreness.I sat up fast, clutching the sheet to my chest as panic sparked in my veins. The room was massive, bathed in golden morning light. The cedarwood scent was still faint in the air, but Ethan was gone.I rubbed my temples, the hazy memories of last night slowly flooding back—my desperate threats, his icy gaze, and the dark fire that had consumed the room.As I turned toward the bedside table to grab my phone, my breath hitched.Stacked on the mahogany nightstand were five thick bands of crisp hundred-dollar bills—at least twenty thousand dollars. Right next to the cash lay a sharp, heavy piece of cream cardstock.I picked up the note with a trembling hand. Written in dark, razor-sharp cursive were just

Olivia's pov Three days after Kelvin signed the agreement, I left the house, finding solace in a hazy blur of silence inside Maya’s small guest room.I couldn't eat. I couldn't sleep. Every time I closed my eyes, the image of them on my bed flashed behind my eyelids. I sat on the edge of the twin mattress, clutching my knees to my chest, letting the tears silently soak through my sweatpants. On the third night, the door swung open, flooding the dim room with harsh hallway light. Maya stood in the doorway, her hands resting on her hips, her eyes full of painful, protective rage as she looked at my pale, hollow face."That is it, Olivia," Maya declared, her voice firm and unyielding. "I have watched you sit in this room, crying over those two absolute monsters for seventy-two hours straight. And I'm not letting that continue.""Maya, please..." I choked out, wiping my damp cheeks with the back of my hand. "I just... I need time.”"No, what you need is to breathe," Maya snapped gently,
