Winston's POV

I was pacing.

Back and forth. Across the length of the living room like a caged animal. The clock ticked mockingly on the wall and it felt like each second was slicing through my nerves.

Morning sunlight streamed through the massive windows of my mansion, but there was no warmth in it. Not for today. All it reminded me of was that Sansa wasn't still home.

“Where is she?" I mumbled uneasily and then hissed.

Augustine sat on the edge of the leather couch, his elbows on his knees, watching me like I’d lost my mind.

And maybe I had. But for good reason. How could I sit back and act like the woman my heart belonged to wasn't missing from our home.

Like it or not, it had become our home and she could deny it for as long as she wanted but she'd always come back.

“Dad,” he said, his voice careful, as if he thought I might explode, “could you please chill? You’re acting like Sansa’s fourteen years old and snuck out to a house party.”

I stopped mid-step and glared at him. “Y

  • My Father-In-Law's Craziest Obsession   Chapter 105: The Heart Wants

Sansa's POV It was happening. Everything I fought for, everything I almost died for was finally mine.Business was booming. Investors were flooding back in. Some very apologetic, others ashamed and groveling. The same men and women who had withdrawn their support when the lies spread like wildfire were now lining up to be part of the Sansa Vale comeback story. News headlines had spun in my favor ever since Winston’s company issued a public statement confirming our continued partnership. It was a powerful move and people noticed. My phone hadn’t stopped buzzing in days.Brand deals. International conferences. Panel invites. Commercials. They all wanted me. Me. Sansa Wolfe. The woman they tried to bury in scandal and lies. The woman Killian had stolen everything from. But instead, I had bloomed.I was just getting out of the office later that evening after having a semi welcome back party from Ellen and Augustine. My eyes were sore from staring at the screen all day and my feet were

  • My Father-In-Law's Craziest Obsession   Chapter 104: Oh My Goodness

Sansa’s POV“Oh my goodness, you scared me!” I gasped, spinning around so fast My head spun and I became lightheaded. I held My hands to my chest as my heart nearly punched through when I saw him.Augustine stood right there in the center of my office, with a bouquet in hand and a smug grin painted across his annoyingly handsome face.“Welcome back, stepmother,” he said with a wink.I blinked. “Excuse me?”“You heard me,” he said, walking forward with a sheepish grin. “Stepmother. Don’t get all shy now. We both know my father can’t stay away from you for more than ten minutes at a time, and yet here you are, somehow still married to my idiot of a brother.”“Augustine, stop.”He raised his hands innocently. “Look, I’m not trying to stir the pot. Honestly, I’d prefer it if you ended up with my father. So, I’m just gonna keep saying it until it becomes reality. Manifestation is the new genie, haven’t you heard?”I laughed in spite of myself. I'd almost forgotten just how lighthearted an

  • My Father-In-Law's Craziest Obsession   Chapter 103: Back to Reality

Sansa’s POVThe alarm clock screamed like it had been personally offended, and I shot up from the bed with a gasp.“Oh shit!” I groaned, grabbing it and staring at the blinking numbers. I was late. Not just a little-late, I was twenty minutes into my meeting late. “Goodness, no. Not today.”I flung the covers off, the sheets tangling around my ankles as I made a mad dash for the bathroom. I had to make today a productive day one way or another. My heart was racing as I shampooed my hair and began to brush up. I had told myself last night that there would be no more slacking, no more hiding, no more lying to myself.“I can’t keep pretending like I don’t have work,” I muttered under my breath as I turned on the shower.Pregnant or not, I had responsibilities. I had clients. I had employees who needed leadership. And more than anything, I needed to prove I wasn’t some fragile damsel who would break at the first sign of pressure. Not just to the world. But also to myself. I was in and

  • My Father-In-Law's Craziest Obsession   Chapter 102: The Choice

Winston’s POV I drove like a man possessed.Every second I spent on the road felt like a punishment. My knuckles were white against the steering wheel, jaw clenched so tight I could barely breathe. I couldn’t get the sound of her trembling voice out of my head.“Killian’s house.”The moment she said those words, something in me snapped. My own son. My own goddamn son had taken her back into his house after everything he’d done. After the gunshot. After the lies. After dragging her through hell.I didn’t care if he was my blood. Right now, he was just the man standing between me and the woman I loved. As I pulled into the driveway of Killian’s estate, my tires screeched, gravel flying up behind me. I slammed the door shut and marched up the stairs. He was already there, standing at the porch like he’d been expecting me.His arms were crossed. “Dad,” he said, tone cool. “I thought you said I shouldn’t show up in your house anymore. What are you doing in mine?”I didn’t stop walking

  • My Father-In-Law's Craziest Obsession   Chapter 101: A Devastating Secret

Sansa’s POVI didn’t want to be here. I was discharged from the hospital and Killian brought a private jet to fly us from Amsterdam. Every step I took behind Killian toward his house felt like I was marching straight into a cage I’d never escape from. The air smelled the same. Clean, expensive, cold. But everything about the place felt wrong. Detached. Like the home I’d once known had been stripped down and rebuilt into a lie.I didn't feel like staying here. Even the sight of it made me sick. This was the one place I was sad. Sorrow and loneliness had been my constant companion and all the servants knew this. When I wasn't crying, I was waiting for Killian to return. And when I wasn't waiting, I was arguing with him over one issue or the other. Killian opened the front door with an exaggerated smile, like this was some honeymoon we’d agreed to go on. “Come in,” he said, grabbing my duffel bag from my hand like a gentleman. “You’re home now.”Home.That word used to mean somethin

  • My Father-In-Law's Craziest Obsession   Chapter 100: A Grandfather

Winston's POV I hoped for all that it was worth, that I didn't hear the doctor correctly. She was three months pregnant?! Sansa was three months pregnant?! Those were the words that knocked the air out of my lungs like a punch to the chest. I couldn’t breathe. My eyes locked on the doctor as he delivered the news, his tone clinical, almost detached, as though he hadn’t just changed the course of my entire existence with a single sentence.Sansa was pregnant and she’d just been shot right through the stomach.“Are you sure?" I couldn't help but ask. The doctor smiled and nodded. My gaze darted to her. She stood frozen, her eyes wide with something that wasn’t quite fear but wasn’t relief either. It was a look of shock. She looked like she was standing at the edge of a cliff, ready to jump off. Her lips parted, but no words came out. Her hands trembled by her sides.I wanted her to speak. To tell the doctor that this was all a lie and she wasn't pregnant. Because who was she pre
