The room was still draped in morning shadows when the doorbell rang.

Enzo stirred beneath the covers, his arm curled protectively around Evelyn, who remained blissfully asleep beside him.

Her hair was a wild halo across the pillow, her breath soft and even.

She looked so peaceful that he didn't had the heart to wake her up.

For a moment, he didn’t move, unwilling to disturb the rare peace she wore on her face. But then the bell rang again.

He cursed under his breath, slipping carefully out of bed.

He kissed Evelyn's forhead and tucked the blanket gently around her and stepped into his sweats, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. His phone was nowhere in sight—he must’ve left it in the hall.

He checked the time and move downstairs.

The doorbell rang a third time.

With a sinking feeling, he padded towards the door.

He told the staff to come after 9 so he didn't understand who it could be.

He opened the door.

Thinking maybe it's the guard but it was not.

Lucas.

Why he's here?

  • My Forbidden Fruit    Chapter 51

My hands quivered a little in my lap as Enzo drove, but the press of his hand over mine steadied me, made the nerves take a little seat. But I couldn't shake the churning questions in my head. I have so many quetions about the attack, but I can't ask them while Enzo is there. I messaged Lily telling her to call Enzo when I message her next. Her reply came instantly. "I will but What happened?" I replied that once I am alone I will tell her everything. I looked towards Enzo, he was a little tense and if he was worried he didn’t show it. The car pulled up in front of a gated structure, a high-rise complex that shrieked cold luxury. Enzo exited first and came around to open my door. I paused for a moment but emerged, taking deep breaths. I wanted answers. I will get them, even If I have to jump in the dragons cave. We arrived at the door, and the maid opened it, smiling politely and inviting us in before we could even knock. Citrus candles filled the air in the clean, modern ap

The drive to the hospital was mostly in silence, but not the uncomfortable kind. Enzo's hands rested on the gear, his thumb brushing against my knee from time to time, trying to entice me into a game of touch. I was not getting hot would be a lie.I couldn't even begin to stop staring at his profile. Strong jawline, soft stubble, a thin little frown between his eyes that always made him appear intent even when he was not. The guy just couldn't help being stupidly handsome."So," he finally spoke, looking at me. "Feeling alright?"I nodded, biting my lip. "Yeah.""You look like you're off to fight a war," he teased, gently bumping my leg with his hand.I giggled nervously. "I'm not! It's just… I don't know, kinda strange. Like declaring to the world: Hey! We're having sex!"Enzo laughed. "Well, I think the doctor will appreciate it. You're glowing.I glared at him, but a warmth spread up my neck. "I hate you.""No, you don't," he said, smirking. "You love me. Especially last night. E

The world felt still—like we were floating outside of time. The air was heavy with the remnants of heat, the room dim and warm around us. Enzo was still hovering over me, breath shallow, the muscles in his back twitching as he slowly pulled out. I winced a little at the emptiness. He let out a low groan, then stroked himself once—twice—and came in hot, thick streams across my stomach. His eyes never left mine as he did it, and something about the way he looked at me in that moment made my chest ache.He collapsed beside me for a second, his fingers brushing hair from my forehead. “You okay?” I nodded, dazed and boneless. “Mmhmm.” A moment passed in silence before he stood, lifting me easily in his arms. “Come on, bella. Let’s clean you up.”The shower was already warm when we stepped in, steam curling around our bodies. He pressed me gently against the tiled wall and kissed me again—slowly, deeply. Like he couldn’t get enough of me even now. Our mouths moved lazily, water traili

His lips curved into a devilish smirk—lazy, unhurried. That same smug glint in his eyes that said he knew exactly what he was doing to me. “Language, Bella,” he murmured, his voice velvet-wrapped sin. “Do I need to remind you who’s in control here?” I glared at him, breath ragged, thighs trembling. “You can’t just stop—” His fingers traced the edge of my panties now, featherlight, infuriating. “I can do whatever I want,” he whispered against my ear. “And you’ll take it. Because you love it when I am like this.” A shiver sliced down my spine. God. He was right. I hated him for it. I loved him for it. His thumb skimmed just above where I ached for him. The pressure was maddening. His breath brushed my cheek, his mouth so close I could feel the shape of his next words before he even said them. “Look at you,” he murmured, dipping his fingers just barely inside again—just a tease, not even enough to make me moan. “So wet, so desperate. You’re soaking for me, Bella. Do you wa

The door clicked shut as Lucas left. Silence folded into the room again, tense and fragile. Enzo remained standing near the door, shoulders taut, his head low, as if carrying the weight of every unsaid word. I lingered near the edge of the kitchen island, unsure whether to speak, to step closer, or to flee upstairs and bury myself under the sheets again. He turned. Our eyes met. In three long strides, he was in front of me. His hand reached out and found the side of my neck—the pads of his fingers brushing over the hidden mark just beneath my collar. The place where his mouth had claimed me hours ago. The faintest bruise of want. I sucked in a quiet breath, startled by the boldness. His eyes were already there—dark, full of heat and possession, his thumb gliding slowly over my pulse. "Enzo—" my voice stuttering. "It's still there," he murmured. His voice was low, gravel-edged. "I thought—." he clicked his tongue then started to draw circles on it. "You left more than one," I

Sunlight poured in through the sheer curtains like honey—thick and golden, settling over my skin. I stirred under the soft covers, my limbs tangled in Enzo’s high-thread-count sheets, the smell of him still lingering around me. My body ached in the best way possible, a slow burn thrumming through my muscles, a reminder of everything that happened last night.I turned, expecting to find him there beside me—a bare shoulder, an arm, maybe the weight of his hand over my waist. But the bed was empty. My brows furrowed. The pillow beside me was indented, still warm, but he was gone.I sat up slowly, the sheet falling to my waist. My skin flushed immediately, the memories rushing in like a tidal wave. His mouth, his hands, his voice whispering my name like it was the only prayer he'd ever known.I bit my lip.God, I was blushing.I swung my legs over the edge of the bed, sighing at the tender soreness between my thighs. Then I spotted one of his T-shirts draped over the chair nearby. Withou
