WILLIAM POV

I sat on a wooden bench outside the servant quarter, looking down at the dark path below my feet. I was overwhelmed by fear and doubt. War. It loomed over me like a dark cloud of dust.

Swallowing hard, I placed both my hands on my head. I'm not a warrior. I have never trained or been to a battle ground before nor have I ever held a sword in my life.
