Chapter 42

She gently combed his fringe and trimmed the fringe little by little with a pair of scissors. She looked very focused. All her concentration was on the fringe. She did not even notice the pair of beautiful eyes under the fringe watching her.

Jackson stared at her. Her face was slightly red due to the cold weather. He looked at her pretty eyes, her small nose, her pink lips, and her beautiful face. The more he looked at her, the harder he found it to look away. Under the light, her body seemed to emanate a warm aura.

"Okay, it's done." After a while, he suddenly heard her say.

"It's done?" he asked. All the time he spent with her seemed to pass by very quickly.

"Mm-hmm." She smiled and took two steps back to scrutinize him. "It's not bad. My skills are pretty good. We saved a few dollars."

She chuckled, then took a dry towel and helped him dust off some of the fine strands of hair that had fallen onto his face, neck and clothes.

"All right, go take a shower," said Serenity.
