The Fall

The custody hearing ended in disaster.

I walked out of the courtroom with my head spinning. The judge had granted Jimmy temporary primary custody. Supervised visits only for me. The reason was clear: my “ongoing inappropriate relationship” and unstable lifestyle.

Jimmy didn’t even look at me as he left with his lawyer. The pain in his eyes earlier had turned into cold resolve.

I drove straight to Jax’s apartment, feeling completely numb.

The moment he opened the door, he knew something was wron

The sun had barely risen when we left the ruined cabin.Smoke still rose into the cold morning sky. Everything we had inside was gone, but we were alive. For now, that was enough.Nobody spoke during the drive.Jimmy kept his eyes on the road.Mark sat in the passenger seat, reading through the Project Eclipse file again.Jax sat beside me in the back seat. His arm rested around my shoulders while I leaned against him.Every few minutes he squeezed my hand, reminding me he was still there. After nearly an hour, Daniel pointed toward an abandoned ranger station hidden among tall pine trees."We'll stop here," he said."No one knows this place."The building was old, but it was dry and warm enough to rest for a while.Mark spread the Project Eclipse papers across an old wooden table."We missed something," he said.He placed an old photograph in front of me.It showed a little girl about six years old.She was smiling.Standing beside her was a woman I recognized immediately."My mother

The cabin fell into complete silence. No one moved.Outside, the sound of engines echoed through the snowy forest. Bright headlights shone through the windows before suddenly switching off.Jimmy looked through a small gap in the curtain."They're here," he said quietly.Mark grabbed his rifle."How many?""At least six."Reyes walked to the back door and checked the lock."They've surrounded us."Jax stood beside me. His wound still hurt, but the look in his eyes had changed. He wasn't afraid anymore. He was ready.Daniel stepped away from the window."They'll expect you to panic," he said.Jimmy loaded another magazine into his pistol."They're going to be disappointed."A heavy bang shook the front door. Then another. The old wood cracked."They're coming in," Mark whispered.Reyes pointed toward the kitchen."Lily, stay behind us.""I can help," I said."I know," he replied. "But stay where we can protect you."The third kick smashed the door open.Three armed men rushed inside.J

The crash downstairs sent a chill through my body.Jax was out of bed before I could stop him. He reached for the pistol on the bedside table, his face tight with focus.Jimmy's voice came again."Stay where you are! I've got him!"Mark and Reyes rushed out of their room. We hurried downstairs together. The front door was wide open.Cold air rushed into the cabin, carrying snow across the wooden floor.A man lay on the ground near the fireplace. His clothes were torn, and blood stained one sleeve. He looked barely conscious.Jimmy kept his gun aimed at him."Don't move," he warned. The stranger raised both hands weakly."I'm not your enemy," he said, breathing hard.Mark frowned."That's exactly what an enemy would say."The man gave a tired smile."I suppose it is."Reyes quickly searched him for weapons."No gun," Reyes said. "Only a knife."He tossed the knife onto the table.Jax stepped closer, careful because of his injury."Who are you?"The man looked at each of us before his e

The room was silent.Mark placed the old photograph in the middle of the table. We all leaned closer. The picture was faded around the edges, but the faces were still clear. My heart stopped.A little girl stood in the center, smiling at the camera. It was me.I looked no older than six.Behind me stood a woman with her hands resting on my shoulders. I recognized her immediately."My mother..." I whispered. But there was someone else in the picture.A man dressed in a white lab coat. His face had been scratched out on purpose."Who did this?" I asked."No idea," Mark replied. "But whoever hid these files wanted to make sure no one knew who he was."Reyes spread more papers across the table."We found this photo inside the Project Eclipse folder. It wasn't there by accident."Jax slipped his hand into mine."We're going to find the truth," he said softly.I nodded, but fear settled deep inside me.What if I didn't like what we found?Jimmy picked up another document and frowned."There

  • My Husband Shared Me:A New Year's Filthy Threesome    The Old Photo

I hurried down the stairs with Jax and Jimmy close behind me. My heart pounded so hard it felt like I could hear it. Mark stood beside the table, an old photograph in one hand and several Project Eclipse files spread out in front of him.Reyes looked just as shocked."What did you find?" Jax asked.Mark took a slow breath before placing the photograph on the table."You need to see this."I stepped closer. The picture showed a large group of people standing outside a research building. Some wore white lab coats. Others were dressed in black suits.Near the front stood a little girl.My breath caught."That's..." I whispered."That's you," Mark finished quietly.I couldn't look away. The little girl looked about six years old. She was smiling at the camera, holding the hand of a woman I recognized immediately."My mother."My voice barely came out.Jimmy moved beside me without saying a word.Mark pointed to another person in the photo."Look here."Standing only a few feet behind my m

  • My Husband Shared Me:A New Year's Filthy Threesome    Snowbound Hearts

The snow came down hard, like the sky was dumping ice on us. The wind shook the truck. I sat between Jax and the door, my hand on his leg. He was hurt bad from the bunker fight, but he was getting better. Every bump in the road made him hurt, even if he tried not to show it.Jimmy drove slow and careful. "We're here," he said. His voice was quiet. The headlights showed a small log cabin in the trees. It was hard to see anything in the white storm. We got out into the freezing cold. Snow hit my face. Jax leaned on me as we walked to the door. Jimmy carried the bags and stayed close behind us. Mark opened the door. Warm light came out."Only two bedrooms," Mark said. "Reyes and I will take the small one. You three take the big one. It's safer, and Jax needs room to rest."Jax made a sound like thanks. I felt Jimmy watching us. When I looked, he was locking the front door. The cabin was simple and old. It smelled like wood and dust. There was a fire downstairs. Mark put the Project Eclip
