After hanging up, I forced down my anger and looked coldly at the two women still causing a scene in my living room.

"I'm Ryan's legal wife. This house is my home. And what are you two? You're nothing but homewreckers who'll never see the light of day. And you actually think your kids are going to inherit my family's fortune? In your dreams."

The moment those words left my mouth, it was like I had lit a fuse.

Martha and Linda exchanged a look before turning their full attention on me.

"You shameless little city slut," Martha sneered. "If you weren't taking up the wife's position, Ryan would have brought us in long ago.

"Just look at us. Women built like us were made to have babies. We're carrying boys, I know it. They'll be the ones inheriting the Carter family's billions."

Linda jumped in, "Exactly. Look at you. You've been spoiled rotten your whole life. You're so fragile you'd snap in half.

"You're acting like pregnancy's going to kill you. A weak little thing like you doesn't stand a chance of having a healthy baby. I'd bet that kid of yours won't even make it."

My blood boiled. A sharp pain stabbed through my lower abdomen, and the baby kicked hard.

"See? She couldn't even handle a few words," Martha sneered.

When she saw my face turn pale and my hand clutch my stomach, her grin grew even wider. "I bet that baby of yours will be stillborn."

Just then, Ryan came rushing back, drenched in sweat.

The moment he saw the house in complete chaos, Walter with chicken feathers stuck all over his head, and the three of us glaring at one another, he froze.

Every ounce of hurt and anger inside me exploded at once.

"Ryan, have you lost your mind? I'm pregnant, and you went behind my back with another woman? No, wait. Two women. And these two? Have you completely lost your eyesight?"

"These two? What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Linda snapped.

I ignored her and fixed my eyes on Ryan, demanding an explanation.

Instead, he looked confused and asked the two women first. "Who are you? Why did you break into my house?"

Martha immediately pushed out her belly and declared with complete confidence, "We're carrying your babies. We got pregnant through your sperm donation, so you have to take responsibility for us and the children."

The words "your sperm donation" made my eyes snap to Ryan.

He could not meet my gaze. Looking guilty, he stammered, "Victoria, just listen to me first. You were pregnant, so I couldn't… You know…

"I got curious and wanted to see what donating sperm was like, so I signed up online. I swear, I never imagined something this ridiculous would happen."

I was so furious I nearly rolled my eyes.

He wanted to know what donating sperm felt like? What kind of idiotic excuse was that?

I took a deep breath and forced down the urge to deal with his stupidity right there and then. At that moment, all I wanted was peace and quiet.

"I don't care what your reason was. Deal with this immediately and get them out of my sight."

Ryan nodded and was just about to speak when the two women instantly put on pitiful expressions and began their performance.

"Ryan, you can't send us away." Martha burst into tears. "We're just country girls. Our family's poor, and life hasn't been easy.

"To come to the city, we even sold the dozen chickens we kept back home. The only one we kept was our best laying hen. You can't be that heartless."
