1. The Promise.

"Aaa... Mmm... ahh... Uhh... Yes. Just like... that. Ye... Yes. It feels... so good." She moaned as he repeatedly pushed his dick in and out of her cunt.

He gripped her waist tightly making sure she didn’t slip out of his grasp. She was squeezing him just as sweetly as he was hitting all the right spots in her.

Her eyes flickered open, his lazy grin coming into view as sweat slicked down his throat. He did this every single time and yet, he still wasn’t tired of looking at her. Even when she probably looked flustered and unattractively sweaty.

He loved watching her every time he made love to her.

Her eyes went hazy when the familiar burning heat in her belly started bubbling, and she snatched him up by the nape of his neck, pulling his mouth to hers like a woman starved.

Their tongues intertwined; the same tongue that confessed those three earth-shattering words, the same tongue that sank between her folds like a knife cutting into butter, bringing her to the brink without fail until she shattered all over his face.

Everything seemed easier when they were together, no matter the hardship.

They found comfort in each other's arms, arms like the gates to heaven, gates they never wanted to step foot out of.

No Matter What.

When her walls started to constrict around his dick, he slowly bought his hand down and sank a finger in. Somehow, miraculously, she still took it, the slight pain soon melting into pleasure.

"Ahh... Fuck... Yes... Ohh... God!" Kylie moaned out loud.

"God can’t help you, love. But, I can." Damon said with a smirk.

Leaning down, he ran his tongue along her throat and circled his thumb around her clit, pressing the flat of it to the engorged bud, the overstimulation making her buck against him.

She could feel her orgasm bubbling up to the surface.

She held on, not wanting this to end. He could sense this, and trailed pecks to her ear to whisper, "Let go, baby girl."

She hugged him tightly, wrapping her arms around his neck while they both came together.

She arched her back against him, the moment seeming to last for hours. Then it subsided, slow aftershocks still buzzing through their bodies.

They both released a heavy breath.

She started laughing when he snuggled into her neck, trying to tickle her.

"That was amazing!" Kylie said looking into his eyes.

"Indeed it was." Damon replied smiling.

"I love you so much, Kylie. I love you so damn much. I just want to spend the rest of my life with you like this in your arms forever." Damon said and kissed her forehead.

She smiled hearing him say such beautiful words but then her eyes flitted down and if she’d lingered a bit longer she would have seen the dread spark in his eyes.

"I love you too, Damon. So much. Words aren't enough to express my love for you. I love you more than anything in this world. I will do anything... I mean anything to have you in my life. But, I am not sure when you are making me yours." Kylie said and Damon blinked his eyes.

He sighed looking away from her.

She watched him, stare unfalteringly. He locked eyes with her once against and bent to kiss her lips, cupping her cheek so softly she thought she’d imagined it.

"I will talk to my parents about us soon." Damon said.

"You’ve been telling me that for the past 4 years. I am finding it hard to take your word for it." Kylie replied with a serious face.

Damon released a heavy breath and lifted himself off her, dragging her body with him so she now lay on top of him with his head against the headboard. His hand rested on her bare back, thumb drawing small circles on her skin.

"You know how hard it is to talk to my parents right?" Damon asked.

"I do, but you have to figure something out. You’ve been giving me empty promises for four years now." Kylie answered.

"We’ve dated for 6 whole years and still I’m just your dirty little secret?" Kylie asked.

Kylie’s headstrong demeanor was now slipping, her voice lowering to a whisper at the end of her plea. Damon winced and brought his wandering hand to her chin, tilting her falling gaze back to him.

"I do realize that...but you’re still my family’s company rival. You know they won’t take kindly to that." Damon answered.

Kylie sighed at his words and looked up at him once again, bracing herself to ask the one question she’d be afraid to.

"So, you’re…not planning to tell them about us anytime soon?"

"I will... Only if you promise me that you won't look at my company as a rival anymore… Especially after our engagement or marriage." Damon answered.

Kylie squinted her eyes. She heard this from him a lot of times and every time she’d given the same answer.

"You do know that I'm not going to do that. My company is my pride. You know how much I worked hard for my dad's company. He cherished his companies more than his life. How do you think I will compromise and let my dad's companies down? Don't forget that your Dad was my Dad's PA. Your dad never helped me with any business thing after my dad passed away. So, it's simple. I am not changing." Kylie countered.

"No. It's not. It's not as simple as you say it to be. Yes, My Dad was your Dad's PA but remember, he was devastated by his death too and… He opened his own businesses and he started getting successful." Damon replied, looking away from her.

"And You have a lot of pride and I love that about you, don’t get me wrong. But you snatch away each and every project that comes our way. You’re always fighting my company which irks my father." Damon said and she chuckled.

"Are you serious? That's not my fault. That's how competitors are like! If you can’t get those projects wouldn’t that be an issue on your part? Dissatisfaction is the root of all progress, if anything I’m motivating you to work harder. And you are talking as if you guys are saints when you know you are not. Remember, someone had to merge their companies with you so your companies don't go bankrupt." Kylie said.

Damon kept silent listening to her, not that she would stop if he interrupted and neither she was wrong about whatever she said. But, she was inexorable on the topic, unable to understand why he wanted to make their families become sweet, happy buddies like how pre-school teachers resolved conflicts.

"Do you know why you’ve never been able to snatch those projects? It’s because my fashion company offers better service. This isn’t about snatching. Prove to them, not me, that you deserve those projects. Why would I give up my family’s income and lifework just for your parents to like me?" Kylie asked, frowning.

"Why don't you just adjust and compromise for once, Kylie? Why can't you do this for me?" Damon asked.

Kylie scowled at him and narrowed her eyes. Was he even hearing himself?

"Adjust and compromise? Did you even hear what I said? I’m putting my foot down, I will never do that. I will never compromise for myself, for you. I love you, don’t ever doubt that, but I put myself first before anyone and you know that very well." Kylie answered.

"Kylie, You know I don't want to stand in front of my dad saying that, I love a girl who is better than me but financially I can’t stay like this." Damon replied.

"Then get better at doing your job. Life isn’t so kind as to dish you a shortcut. You’re not hearing me, you’ve known me for more than 10 years. We were high school friends. You hid our friendship from this world and I didn’t care. You hid our relationship and still I was okay. But apparently I shouldn’t have settled for that. This is getting out of hand Damon." Kylie said angrily.

"Kylie—" Kylie cut him off in mid sentence.

"You are freaking 27 years old, Damon. I don't know why you are still so scared of your parents." Kylie said.

Damon kept silent and looked away from her. She gave him a silent countdown in her head, and the uncomfortable seconds slipped away too fast.

Kylie stood up from the bed and grabbed her robe. She slipped it on, the aches in her body no longer a sweet reminder, now more like a nuisance. She tucked her slippers onto her feet, and then Damon turned to her again.

"Kylie…" Damon called her.

Kylie raised her hand at him to stop talking and sighed at him.

"You’d better not say anything to me right now. You know what I am capable of doing. Right?" Kylie asked raising her eyebrows at him

A sick sense of delight twisted in her when Damon winced.

"You better tell your Dad about our relationship. I don't want to hide our relationship anymore. I want to be your wife. Not just your secret girlfriend. Got it?" Kylie asked authoritatively.

Kylie Madison, one of the top 5 businesswomen in the world and her company owned a few of the top fashion brands. A ruthless woman who didn’t give a heck about anyone but herself.

A woman full of pride. Intelligent, beautiful with long brown hair, Hazel eyes. Any guy would turn his head around to have a look at her while she passed from him.

She hates Betrayers. She would never lower her head down for anyone. She could get anything she wanted. Flipping the life or death of a person was like flicking a coin.

It didn’t matter whose life it was. As long as the side of the coin that landed served only benefits to her.
