Mrs. Macaulay was disturbed by Eugenia's sack. Not because she was my daughter but because she was sacked on the wrong day and she wished to educate the careless employee on the appropriate thing to do. As a routine, Henry would always check on her whenever he returned from work.

"Huh!" he exclaimed and asked her, "Where does she work?"

She paused, thought for a moment, then rolled her eyes with a sigh.

"I did not ask her. I will find out from her when she returns," she explained.
