Lucian's POV.

I stormed off to my room, anger evident in my eyes. I knew staying home would only make matters worse, so I decided to clear my head by occupying myself with work.

Grabbing my briefcase which was at the other side of the room, I also picked up my keys at the counter, and made quick steps towards the car outside.

Once I got into the car, I slammed the door, and inserted my keys to start the engine, which roared immediately. However, something still bothered me. The fact that I could smell her scent so strongly even when we were a reasonable distance apart.

I shook my head, and drove out of the compound.

At the office, I still had creased lines on my face, and still found myself being in thoughts. However, I picked up a file to help me forget what happened.

Two seconds into staring at the file, and I felt frustrated. I pushed away the file, roared in anger, and banged my hand on the table.
