Chapter 14

Abhay eyes were full of pain. He himself don’t why is he feeling this pain? He couldn’t help himself but he was asking questions to himself. ‘When I hate her with my whole heart than why, when she is gone I’m feeling empty? Why is my heart empty? Why am I in pain? WHY?’

No matter, how many times he asked those questions to himself he couldn’t get any reply.

“CLAP, CLAP, CLAP.”

After hearing the sound of clapping Abhay and Mia parted themselves. Both of them saw Alex clapping his hands with a sad smile in his face.

“Wow, just wow Mia, you do better acting in real life than reel life. You deserve an Oscar award for this kind of acting.” Alex pointed his index finger and roared at Mia.

Mia was too shocked to see Alex like this. She has never seen him like this. Full of pain, eyes red and the hate towards her in his eyes, so it surprised her and scared her at the same time.

“Abhay why are acting like you cared about Emily? Didn’t you wanted her dead. And Mia for whom are you acting? Why are you pretending? Do you think I don’t know what type of person you are?” Alex roared at them.

“I should be sad because I lost my sister. You both and your families should be happy. You all didn’t care about her then why are you all pretending to be sad and heartbroken? When she was alive you all wanted her dead and now when she is dead you all are pretending to be sad.” He shouted at them.

He voice was echoing in the office.

Alex saw the photos of Emily lying down on the floor. He sat down on the floor and picked up the photos of Emily. He said in a low voice, “Why are you all doing this to her. Stop this because she is dead now so don’t act like you all cared about her. At least give her peace now. I was and I’m only her family. ”

Abhay was not able to utter a single word. He just saw Alex with pain in his eyes whereas Mia was enjoying Alex’s crying.

‘It’s so good to see him in pain. When Abhay lost his memory and I feed him with my lies it was Alex, who was making my job hard. He even didn’t let me meet with Abhay so many times. I don’t know about Emily but I’m at peace now. Emily is dead and Alex is in pain. Now Abhay is mine.’

‘What did he call her just now sister, Huh. In the name of Emily’s brother you used to save her. But this time you weren’t able to save you sister. You won’t be able to see her from now onwards.’ She thought to herself and smirked at her thought.

Alex stood up from his place. His eyes were red, filled with rage.

“You both should be happy that she is dead and won’t come in between two of you.” Alex shouted at them.

Mia quickly changed her expression from happiness to sadness.

“Alex, we never wanted her to die. We never………”, before she could complete her sentence Alex went out of the office. Leaving Abhay and Mia inside.
