DIEGO SALVATORE

When I said I'd give Taylor something to think about, I didn't imagine myself getting carried away by her smell, and her taste.

It all started when I kissed her, her lips in my mouth tasted different, her tits standing and pressing against my chest almost turned me into a madman. However, when it was about getting fun and interesting, I felt something inbetween her legs, something really interesting.

I felt her hymen with my fingers.

I’m pretty sure I don’t give a fuck about virgins, they are no fun. Amateurs, hassles, nuisance and generally not good in bed. However, Taylor although being a virgin, captured my attention. This was so going out of hand.

I trudged into my study, I wouldn't think about Taylor now, she's a story for later.

I sank into my leather chair and stared at the sleek polished machine in the name of a laptop waiting on my desk.

I opened it and was greeted by the usual cascade of notifications. One message, however, stood out starkly in my inbox: from Marco.

I opened it, reading the brief but chilling message. "Diego, the goods were hijacked before they even reached land."

"Shit!" I cursed, clenching my fist. Deep inside I knew accepting to ship those goods wasn't a good idea but still I did it, guess I had to trust my hunches.

I clenched my jaw and started typing in my keyboard. "How did that happen? What about our men?"

His reply came fast. "All our men are dead."

The words seemed to echo in the confines of my study. This wasn't a mistake or accident, it was deliberate. My hands balled into fists, and with a sharp, angered movement, I slammed them down on the desk. The impact rattled the keyboard and sent a shiver through the room.

"Shit!" I stood up, pacing back and forth. The shipment was crucial—vital to my operations. Now, all my efforts seemed in vain. I ran my hand through my hair, if I didn't rectify this, I would suffer an enormous loss as well as become an enemy to Draco, who gave me the deal in the first place. I should be making alliances and not destroying the ones I had.

After a few moments of seething anger, I decided to be a part of the investigation. I grabbed my car keys from the desk and stormed out of the house.

The cool air did little to temper my rage as I sped towards the office, fuck the police and their speeding tickets.

Once I arrived, Marco was waiting, like he knew I'd come.

"Marco!" I called, approaching.

Marco’s face was drawn, a mix of stress and anger etched into his features. "You didn't have to come, I had it under control."

"Really? So tell me, who's the culprit?"

He exhaled. “We’ve got a lead,” he said without preamble.

"Oh, come on. Is that what you mean by control?"

"We’re tracking down the hijackers, Diego. We’ll find them."

"What do you have so far?"

He led me in. "Blurry figures, car number, traces, fingerprint left behind."

My tension eased slightly, though my impatience remained evident, they did have a lead but I needed the culprit as soon as possible.

Marco typed his way on his system while I observed the faces of my men, some look different and I knew why. I had asked for new recruits, like I knew this would happen.

"How’s the recruiting going? We need more bodies. Good men."

Marco looked at me and I knew that look. “They are weak, they're going to need to push harder if they want to be part of this."

"Hmm, so they're not good enough?"

"We've got twenty numbers as of recent."

"It’s not just about numbers, Marco. It's about commitment. We’re not taking anyone who can’t handle the heat."

Marco stopped typing, absorbing my words. “Understood."

"Make sure they know what’s at stake.”

"I will."

"Good."

I continued my survey, asking questions due to the few days of my absence all thanks to staying in my father's house.

It was evening when I left the office, I was exhausted and needed to rest my head. I pulled into the driveway and approached the house.

Before I got to the door, Emy rushed to me, her features trembling with a certain fear I knew only my father could cause.

"Help, Mr. Diego,"

I suddenly became alarmed. Not waiting for her to finish, I rushed in. The sight that met with me was agonizing. Taylor was hanging from the ceiling, both her hands tied above her while her legs dangled in air. As if that wasn't enough, Donovan was gripping her neck. Taylor's face was contorted in pain as she choked. The sight was a visceral shock to me.

Without thinking, I rushed forward. “Dad! What the hell are you doing? Put her down now?"

Donovan looked up, his eyes cold and unyielding. “She’s not cooperating. I’m trying to get answers.”

"Answers? What answers!"

"Stay away from this, Diego."

"Put her down," I ordered but he didn't answer. "Fuck this!" I pulled out my gun and shot the rope tying her hand before pointing it at him. "I'll fucking bruise you if you don't."

Donovan seemed surprised. "How dare you, Diego."

"Curse this!" I snapped and rushed close to him, I grabbed his arm and yanked him away from Taylor, forcing him to release his grip. Taylor crumpled to the floor, gasping for breath.

My mind raced as I knelt beside her, my eyes flickering between her and Donovan. "What fucking answers, do you want to have a dead body in this place?"

"Did you just point a gun-"

"Yes!" I snapped. "And I'll do it over again if you fucking lay a hand on her."

"Damn you, Diego," he pulled out his gun and I did the same.

"This is not how we handle things," I said firmly, my voice strained but resolute. “We’re supposed to be in control, not acting out of rage.”

Donovan’s expression was a mix of frustration and defiance as he brought down his hand. "She belongs to me."

"Last I remembered you said she was 'our' servant."

"We'll talk later, Taylor."

"Taylor will not be having a word with you until you've calmed down. Calm the fuck down, old man."

Donovan shook his head. "We agreed not to meddle in other's business. When the memorial service is over, I don't want to see you around here."

"This is my father's house Donovan, you cannot ask me to stay away, that wasn't even a part of our discussion," with that, I helped Taylor to her feet, my hands gently behind. I glanced back at Donovan before leaving with her.

TAYLOR MACKENZIE My eyes narrowed as I gazed at Diego. "How is it that you're alive?" I asked, my voice firm. Diego smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'll tell you everything, but not here," he said. "Take me to your home, and we can talk more." I shook my head, I hadn't invited anyone over before and I wouldn't start now. "I don't think that's a good idea." Diego's smile faltered. "Why not?" he asked. I hesitated, unsure of how to explain. "I just don't... entertain visitors," I said finally. Diego's eyes sparkled with amusement. "And you won't make an exception for me?" he asked, his voice low. I felt a shiver run down my spine as Diego reached out and placed a hand on my cheek. But I quickly moved back, my heart racing. Diego's eyes widened in surprise. "Why are you moving away from me?" he asked, his voice tinged with hurt. I took a deep breath, trying to explain. "It's been a long time, Diego," I said. "I'm not the same person you knew. I'm not a damsel

  • My Lover's Choice. A fight for love and redemption.    A Visitor From The Past 124

TAYLOR MACKENZIESix months had passed since I had left my old life behind. I had settled into a new routine, working as a waitress at a small restaurant in a quiet town. It was a simple life, but it was one I enjoyed. As I finished my shift and walked home, I felt a sense of contentment wash over me. I had found a small apartment, cozy and comfortable, and I spent my free time reading, watching movies, and exploring the town. When I arrived home, I headed straight for the bathroom, where I ran a hot bath and soaked my tired muscles. I closed my eyes, letting the warmth seep into my bones. After my bath, I wrapped myself in a soft towel and padded into my bedroom. I climbed onto my bed, feeling the softness of the mattress envelop me. I thought of my kids and reached into my nightstand drawer and pulled out a phone, one that had only one number programmed into it.I smiled as I dialed the number, my heart skipping a beat as I waited for the call to connect. When Samantha's voice cam

TAYLOR MACKENZIE I was done arranging Taylor's and Asher's bag, but all through it, I didn't miss how Jayden kept stealing glances at me. "If there's something you wanna say, just say it." Jayden exhaled. "I'm sorry." "Is that it?" I faced him. "I mean, I left you all these months and just when I showed up, I bring trouble with me." "Tell me something, Jayden. Where is Mark?" I asked. "Mark.. he's in the hospital. Gerald was responsible for the attack that night. Mark might meet a coma, or worse and the crazy part is, Armando had guarded the hospital round, no one can go in, not even me. I tried sneaking when I was caught and forced to come here. I'm sorry I led him to you." I nodded, Mark might meet a coma. At this point, I was so done with relationships, it wasn't meant for me. "What are his chances of survival?" I asked. "I don't want to make promises so I don't know, I just know he's unresponsive." I fought the tears that almost left my eyes, I wouldn't cry anymore

  • My Lover's Choice. A fight for love and redemption.    All Alone 122

TAYLOR MACKENZIEThis was my reality. Four months had passed already and I spent it training, building myself up. On several occasions I tried the password for the house security and I always got it wrong, I wondered what Jayden put there. Taylor was now walking and followed me around the house, unfortunately she and her brother had to learn the hard way. I couldn't believe I had already spent four months here, only the heavens knew how much I was trying not to loose my sanity. Like a game, a year passed by and Taylor was celebrating her second birthday after Asher turned three. I would have swore that I was surprised we didn't run out of food until I noticed everything was restocked by heaven knows who. I had tried to catch who it was but I always missed, I just came out to a full house, whoever was doing the restock was definitely smarter than I was. I sat quietly on the couch, watching a cartoon show with Asher and Taylor when I heard a sound coming from the basement. I immediat

TAYLOR MACKENZIEAsher and Taylor were discharged after a while and Jayden drove us to the house. Once we arrived, I could already feel the tightness of the building. Mark really did everything to keep us safe. I got down and carried sleeping Asher while Jayden carried Taylor inside. "You need to rest," Jayden said from the door after we put the kids to sleep. "I will.""Take care, I'll leave now.""What?" I turned to him. "You can't leave us here."He smiled. "This house is very protected and-""Enough! I'm tired of listening to all these. Nowhere is safe, if they want to get me, they will.""I doubt, this is Mark's project, no one can penetrate it. However, if anything happens, all you have to do is alter the security system of the building, it'll definitely find whoever is trying to get in.""And what happens when they get found?" I asked."Tased to unconsciousness, it just happens. The only people permitted to be here are, Mark, I, you and the kids. That's how it is."I nodded.

The car slowed to a stop, and I saw a familiar figure climb out—Jayden. Relief flooded through me. “Jayden!” I shouted, scrambling to my feet.“Taylor!” he called back, rushing towards me. Immediately we got close to each other, I collapsed into his arms, and sobbed against him. “Mark needs help! He’s still out there!” Jayden pulled back slightly, concern etched on his face. “I know,” he said, his tone urgent but calming. “I sent my men over there. They’re searching for him now.” “Please, we have to hurry! He could be in danger!” I cried, my voice trembling with desperation. “Let’s get you and the kids safe first,” Jayden said gently, he helped me carry the kids to the car and guided me towards the it. “We’ll figure this out together.” He helped me into the back seat, and as he got in and started the engine, I took a shaky breath. “How did you find me?” I asked, confusion mixing with my relief.“Mark put a GPS tracker in your hair band," Jayden replied, glancing at me in the rear
