Ember's POV

Surfing through the net seemed to be my best companion lately because it kept my sanity in check. Boredom was a disease that could even lead to depravity. How was I supposed to stay in this big house alone without talking to anyone for a whole week without losing my mind?

Whenever Trent returned, he was already beat and didn't have the time to strike up a conversation with me. The two brothers were just polite to me and minded their business. Elise was a different ball game entirely. She was still keeping malice with me as if I was the one who made her brother take that irrational step.

I wasn't in the mood to start begging someone to see things my way when there were other things I could do with my time. One of which was my newly found passion for knitting. I watched several videos about it and was confident in my abilities. I could do anything that I set my heart to do.
