I walked with my arm looped with my Mom's as Dad held her hand. He guided us through the sea of people filling in the hall. It was so full in here already. I think the whole pack was in here.

"Guess the Alpha wasn't kidding when he said he had something important to talk about." Mom said as Dad helped us into a seat. He took the one next to Mom, putting me in the middle of them. This is something they have always done. It's like they are my shields.

"Yeah, the warriors have been talking about it. I think it has to do with all the rogues showing up and all the attacks lately. It's every night it seems we are taking down some."

My heart picked up at hearing his words. I have always hated the thought of something happening to Dad. He was a good warrior and a great fighter but with rogues you just never know what will happen; they are unpredictable.

A loud whistle came, causing everyone to look over at the front of the hall. The Beta stood up on a small stage,

"I would like everyone to take a seat please. I'm sorry if there is not enough for everyone, so please keep it down for those in the back so they can hear what is being said and that nothing needs to be repeated."

He turned as the Alpha and Luna walked up on the stage. Looking at them; they reminded me of my parents, so in love with one another. That's how it goes with mates. Something I will never experience. Sure humans can be mated to wolves, I mean look at my mother, but it's not something that happens a lot.

"Everyone please settle. I want to make sure all can hear what I have to talk about. I need you all to take this very seriously."

The hall went quiet at the request of the Alpha,

"Alright, now we all know that there has been an increase in rogue attacks in the last month or so. Our warriors are working hard to keep it under control, Howver they are becoming harder to defeat. Many of our warriors have been injured. I have decided to reach out to the Lycan King for help with this situation."

Mummers erupted throughout the hall. My head turned to look at Dad,

"Do you think they will come help?"

He shrugged, "I'm not sure. I would like to say, yes they would, but who knows? They run off a different set of rules."

"Yeah, but wouldn't it make them look bad not to help? I mean they are the rulers of us and the whole territory."

"That is true, but like I said, they are Lycans, they outrank us then they can just brush off the request for help."

"Settle down everyone," The Alpha calls out. "I know it's up to them and some may even doubt they will help. I do not think they will turn us down when we are in need of help. However till then, I have put in place some rules I want you all to begin following starting today."

"First. No one is to travel around the pack alone. Make sure you are in a group of two or more. Also there is a curfew which begins at Eight pm, No one is allowed in the woods, alone or in a group. If you wish to shift and run, you will have to use the training field to do so. There will be no new visitors coming or going. Please I want everyone to pay attention and take this very seriously and listen to my warnings. I do not want anyone to break them."

I spun, facing Dad. "Wait, does that mean I can't return to school?"

Shaking his head, "I do not think so, as you do not leave and return every day, but I can check with him."

"Alpha," Someone called out.

"Yes."

"Are the rogues after something specific, or just anything? I mean it's been how long since they attacked. Why now?"

"That I'm not sure of, with rogues it's hard to say what they want; usually it's supplies to survive or get through or even sell for money. We never know what they want when they attack."

"Is there some sort of rules we need to know about if the Lycans do come to help us?"

Alpha shook his head, "All I can say is follow what they say, Im sure they will put out more rules to be followed, but the whole thing is to keep everyone safe, So follow along with what they want and do not pick any fights with them. as we all have been told Lycan are known for their bad tempers and short fuses, mind your manners and show respect to them. They do outrank us."

The whole thing seemed to drag on; others asked questions and the Alpha answered the best he could. When it was all over, I felt completely wiped out and had a pounding headache from it all. Once we got home, I headed straight for my room, flopping on my bed, letting my eyes close. The Alpha words replayed in my head.

I wonder what it would be like to meet a Lycan. From the stories we were told, they are super tall and built solid as a rock, with wide shoulders and blessed with the good looking genes. We also learned that they lose their temper quickly and are straight up killing machines when in their Lycan forms.

I felt a shiver run through me at the thought of them. I wonder if they would look at someone like me differently, seeing as I do not have a wolf. Would they look down on me or treat me like the rest of the pack?

I drifted off with all the thoughts about Lycans. I even dreamed of one with bright green eyes staring at me in the dark. A large silhouette of a man. He was so tall with broad shoulders that would fill a doorway. I couldn't see his face as a shadow cast over it. But those green eyes pierced through the darkness. It was as if they were looking right through me,

I was startled awake by a knocking on my door. Mom called out that dinner was ready. I let out a groan, rolling to see the clock,

Holy hannah I slept for three hours,

Jumping up I hurried to the bathroom to wash my face. Before heading down for dinner, but I couldn't get those green eyes out of my mind.

LyricaI can say I have never felt fear like I did sitting in that car with those red eyes looking in through the window at me, I saw those white fangs as he smiled at me. Wren let out a growl his hand went to the handle I quickly grabbed his wrist. "Don't"His head whipped back around to look at me, "They will not stay out long, If they get in here it will be worse. I can hold them off till help gets here." He looked up at Dad. "Once I step out take off, Get her away from them, Andy and the warriors are on the way. I will hold them off."Dad gave a nod, "Ly get up here." Shaking my head I clung to Wrens arm, "No. Please do not get out." My eyes looked past him out the window seeing a lot more red eye glowing off in the distance. "There are to many of them, you can not hold them off on your own."Gripping his arm tighter, He gave me a smile leaning closer. "No need to worry, I have faced worse, the main thing is you. The

Asher Where the hell was she? I have been watching all morning, and there is no sign of her anywhere. I even clocked her classes. I know her schedule like the back of my hand, but she was not in any of them. I asked one of her teachers and she said she had not heard from her. But she did not show up in class. And that is odd. She is like a robot with the classes. It made it so easy to learn her patterns and she never knew it. Now I sat waiting in the food court. She comes through here on her way to her afternoon classes. She grabs something small on her way. I have never seen her sit and eat in here. But yet again, there was no sign of her. Growling, I left out of there, heading to the classroom she is to be in. Peeking in quickly, she was there at the table where she sits with the other four. Her chair is empty. Slamming my fist against the wall, I spin, heading out of there. Going straight to my sliding, I s

  • My Lycan Mate   Chapter23

Lyrica Why did it feel like I was moving? Not like floating, but as if I'm on a slow-moving roller coaster. My eyes slowly peeled open. A dark-colored ceiling came into view, along with the smell of leather and exhaust. Why did I smell exhaust? Turning my head, I saw the back of a seat with a body sitting in it. Squinting a little, I shifted to sit up using the back of the seat in front of me, The movement caught the person's attention. Their head turned and it was Dad, "Dad? What is going on? Why am I in a car?" My head started to swivel. I didn't recognize the car. "Whose?" I started to ask when my eyes landed on the person sitting in the seat next to me. Shaking my head a little, I looked at the person again. "Wren?. Wait, why are you here?" He looked towards Dad, "You were right, she does not recall anything." I frowned, looking to Dad. "What is he talking about and where are we going?" I glanced out the

Wren I watched as she stared up at me. Her eyes blinked with that look on her face, and then the next minute her eyes rolled to the back of her head as her knees gave out. I was moving my arms, shooting out, wrapping around her as her whole body went limp, "Ly!" Her dad called her as he was next to us. I scooped her up, moving to her bed, laying her down gently, moving the few strands of hair from her face. Pressing my palm to her forehead, I could feel she was clammy but cool to the touch. Her dad moved to the other side of the bed. Dropping to his knees, he grabbed her hand. His own moved to her face, doing the same thing I just did. "She don't have a fever," I spoke. He didn't say anything continued with what he was doing. Jumping up to his feet, he went in her bathroom, coming back out a few seconds later with a wet cloth in his hands. He wiped her face then rolled it, placing it across her forehead. "She doe

  • My Lycan Mate   Chapter 21

Lyrica It felt like I had just fallen asleep. When there was a loud pounding coming from downstairs, making me shoot straight up in bed, my eyes instantly scanning my room, my heart thumping in my chest as I tried pulling in deep breaths. 'He's not here Lyrica, your safe.' I told myself. I was about to lie back when the pounding came again. I heard my roommates moving outside my door. They were grumbling and yelling to hang on. I grabbed my phone, tapping the screen to see what time it was. It was almost one in the morning. Rubbing my forehead, I had only been asleep for a half hour. God I could kick whoever was making that noise. Just as I tossed the blanket off me, my door flew open, pulling a loud scream out of me as I jumped back. My mind instantly went on the defense. I jumped out the other side of the bed. I couldn't see anything. All I knew was I needed to move, to get away, "No." My feet were moving
