Chapter 2

作者: Ginkgo Tales
“It would also help temper his arrogant, spoiled personality!”

I was being cruel? I was baiting him? I would never do any of that.

When had I ever been arrogant and spoiled?

I was suddenly filled with resentment. I went mad with desperation. I forced out my Vital Blood and begged for help again and again.

But all I got in return was the sight of the three of them leaving without a second thought.

Yale seemed to sense something. He looked toward the empty space in front of him and smiled proudly. The corners of his lips lifted, and he looked like a contender who had already won.

“You lost. This heart belongs to me now.”

I curled up on the floor. Tears silently fell down my face as I nodded.

I let Grace cut open my chest and forcibly tear my heart out from my body. Blood splattered everywhere. The pain was unbearable. It felt as if every inch of my body was being torn apart.

Old wounds that had yet to heal began to bleed again.

It hurt. It hurt so much. But when my heart was taken from me, all the feelings and bonds from the past disappeared with it.

It was tens of thousands of years of affection. How ironic. How laughable.

They did not even bother to look at me. They did not care whether I lived or died.

One was the person I had respected and cared for since childhood. She had been both a teacher and a parent figure to me. The other was my wife, the woman who was supposedly destined to be with me across three lifetimes.

Yet their hearts and eyes held only Yale.

At this point, I finally let go. I chose to stop fighting for them.

I no longer wanted them.

After Grace took my heart, she sent me back to the Ninth Heaven out of spiteful amusement. Before I left, she even kindly reminded me that I could survive a little longer if I stayed there.

Following the route I remembered, I returned to Henry Tower.

Everything there was exactly the same as before. The decorations were still bright and festive, just like they had been on the day of my wedding.

I no longer had my cultivation to protect me. After losing my heart, I could barely walk a few steps without gasping for breath.

Still, those decorations were unbearable to look at. I tore them down one by one. Then, I took out a fire starter and set them on fire in the courtyard.

When I got up to remove the ribbons, I ran into Snow. A flicker of surprise crossed her face. She was holding Yale’s hand.

The moment she saw me, she let go.

I found it ironic. I ignored her and continued taking down the ribbons.

“Henry, why didn’t you tell us you were back? We could have gone looking for you. It looks like you had a pretty good time in the Demon Realm. You even look a little heavier than you did on your wedding day.”

Yale spoke with a cheerful smile. He purposely emphasized the words “your wedding day.” He walked over and held my arm affectionately. The wounds beneath my sleeve sent waves of pain through me. Cold sweat covered my forehead.

I frowned and shoved him away.

He staggered back several steps and almost fell. His eyes immediately turned teary.

Snow, who had been standing there with an elegant and ethereal air, quickly stepped forward to catch him.

She looked at me coldly. Her voice was filled with disgust.

“Henry, it seems you still haven’t learned your lesson in the Demon Realm. The first thing you do after returning is lose your temper at Yale. You have no respect for Yale, and your heart is full of malice.

“How shameless of you to send out a distress signal when you don’t actually need it. You truly have no limits.”

A group of immortals had already gathered outside the hall to watch the scene unfold.

When they saw me being humiliated in front of everyone, they immediately began whispering.

“Henry actually came back from the Demon Realm? How could he bully Yale the moment he returned? He’s truly vicious.”

“Exactly. Yale has always cared about him and given in to him. He treated him like a real brother. Yet just as he was about to wed Snow, he forced Yale to kill Grace and bring back her head as a wedding gift.”

“Everyone knows how cruel and lustful Grace is. I have no idea what tricks Henry used to return safely from the Demon Realm. Maybe he already offered himself to her.”

“Disgusting. How could someone like him ever be worthy of Snow, the Celestial Princess?”

“Exactly. In my opinion, Snow and Yale are the ones who truly belong together.”

Everyone looked at me with contempt. Their voices rang clearly between the three of us.

I removed the two of them from my memories. When the room was empty again, I struggled to get up. I threw the wedding robes and crystal pendant far away. Then I used a fire starter to set the tower on fire. I changed into my favorite blue robes and burned away the last of my remaining lifespan.I vanished together with everything I had.…I could not remember the exact day I died.I only knew that after my death, Emma, who had been torturing Yale, suddenly clutched her chest and coughed up blood. She staggered to her feet. She pressed a hand against her chest and rushed toward the Ninth Heaven in pain.Behind her, Yale was barely alive, yet he laughed wildly. It sounded as if he was mocking her miserable state. It sounded as if he was celebrating my death. When Emma arrived at the Ninth Heaven, she saw Snow kneeling outside Henry Tower in a daze. Her white robes were stained red with blood. Her injuries looked severe. In her hands, she held a heart. She pressed her forehead

“Henry, I’ll make him suffer ten times, a hundred times more than what you suffered.“I’ll make sure you get the revenge you deserve.”I still did not want to pay her any attention. I was in unbearable pain. I did not want to hear Yale’s scream anymore. No matter how much suffering he endured, it could never make up for the pain I had gone through.…My body finally reached its limit.I was surviving on nothing but the last bit of life left in me.Snow stayed by my side day and night. She held my hand, but I felt disgusted.Tears even fell onto my palm.Again and again, she said, “Henry, please get better. I’m begging you. As long as you recover, I’ll give you the grandest wedding the Ninth Heaven has ever seen.”Those were the most disgusting words I had ever heard.I could not pull my hand away from her, so I simply turned my head and remained silent.During those days, they traveled across the realms in search of countless treasures that could extend my life.I had beco

“How did you get these wounds? Why haven’t they healed? And what happened to your heart?”Her voice was as cold as ever, but there was a hint of panic and regret in it. At that moment, it sounded utterly ridiculous.I laughed. My laughter was filled with sarcasm.“You’re joking, right? Heal them with immortal arts? Did you forget? After you threw me into the Heavenly Tribulation and left me to die, I barely managed to survive. I lost all my cultivation. I no longer have any power.“As for my heart, Grace took it from me on our wedding day. She told you that if you all left me behind, she would take my heart.” I smiled even brighter and continued, “You told her to do whatever she wanted.”The wider my smile became, the darker her expression grew. There was even a trace of guilt in her eyes. How ridiculous.“Why didn’t you tell me? Don’t you know how to speak?”“Tell you what? If I had told you, would you have believed me? If I had begged you for help, would you have saved me?“I

My mind grew heavy and clouded. Before I passed out, I saw two figures rush toward me in panic. Their expressions were completely different.I also saw Yale kneeling on the floor. His eyes were filled with hatred and jealousy.I believed that this time, I was finally free. Perhaps dying sooner was the best thing that could happen. In my next life, I would never meet them again.“Henry, are you all right?”“Henry, what are you doing now…”How ridiculous. After learning the truth, they finally panicked when they saw me collapse. It felt like someone lifted me into their arms. My mind was still hazy. The voices around me were loud and chaotic. But Yale’s voice was especially clear.“No. Madam, Snow, please don’t leave me…”His voice was choked with tears. He sounded so wronged. But this time, for the first time, neither of them went to him.I heard Emma say, “Take Yale into custody. We will deal with him later.”I heard Snow panic and order someone to find an immortal physicia

He laughed like a madman. His eyes were filled with triumph.“All it takes is a few tears, and she feels sorry for me. But you? She threw you into the Heavenly Tribulation to die in my place. How pathetic.“As for your beloved wife, on your wedding day, she left you behind without a second thought just to save me. Henry, you really are pathetic. I can take everything from you without lifting a finger.”I glared at him. My face twisted with fury.“When did I ever wrong you?”I wanted to know. What had I ever done to make him hate me so much? His smile grew even wider.“You never did anything to me. I just wanted you to know that as long as I stand here, I don’t have to do a thing, and everything you have can become mine.“Why were you born with everything, while I had to start as a mortal in the mortal world and struggle through cultivation step by step? I’m the Divine Son. Why did I have to suffer so much in the mortal world?”So that was why. How absurd. How laughable.“Wher

  • My Master Went Mad After I Died   Chapter 7

“I curse Yale. I hope he never finds peace in death…”The smile on my face never reached my eyes. The rest of my words were forced back into my throat. When her power struck me, I spat out mouthfuls of blood. It felt as if I was about to lose the last bit of my remaining lifespan. The only reason I was still alive was that I had a little bit of it left, along with the demon parasite Grace had given me out of pity.Once the demon parasite disappeared, my lifespan would run out as well.“You fool, you really can’t stand Yale, can you?”Emma’s face turned dark. When her gaze fell on my pale face and the blood at the corner of my lips, the coldness in her eyes faded slightly. Perhaps she could not bear to see me like this.In the end, her voice softened.“Yale has never done anything to you.”I laughed. Every bone in my body seemed to be suffering unbearable pain. What was the point of living anymore? But I hated this. I had become a useless person. I could not even get revenge.
