I was enjoying dinner with my parents when Barnett and Carol fell in bed with one another.

The searing pain of a mate's betrayal pierced me, causing me to collapse and shocking my parents.

This incident served as a stark reminder that Barnett and I were still bound together.

My father seethed. “And here I thought the rogues would have him in a tight spot! How does he have the mind for this?!”
