OLIVIA’S POV

I woke to a blinding white light, the sterile scent of antiseptic thick in the air. My entire body ached, a dull throbbing radiating from my abdomen. Panic gripped me as the memory of the agonizing pain in the dungeon came rushing back. My hands instinctively moved to cradle my belly. The pup. Was my baby—?

A slight movement to my side made me freeze. My eyes fluttered open in panic, and there he was. Dominic. He sat beside my bed, his broad shoulders hunched forward, elbows resting on his knees. His normally sharp features were clouded with exhaustion, dark circles bruising the skin beneath his eyes. How long had he been sitting there? Had he… been watching over me?

For a brief, foolish moment, hope flared in my chest. Maybe he had believed me. Maybe he still—

"You're awake," his deep voice cut through my thoughts, flat and devoid of emotion.

I swallowed, my throat dry. "Did you… bring me here?" My voice was hoarse, barely above a whisper.

He nodded, but before I could p

Rhys disappeared from my life.I didn’t care if he was in jail or in a hospital, as long as he wasn’t six feet under. It was a fine Friday, I was at the Nyx Collective studio admiring the necklace I’d just designed.I’d used my employee perks to get it custom-made—my design, my materials, my signature, my everything. There was literally only one of these in the world. And in two days, it was going to be Yvaine’s birthday present.I’d barely had time to breathe in its perfection when my phone lit up with Yvaine’s name.Shit. Had she somehow found out?Surprise ruined.I picked up, bracing myself.Instead, I got:‘That dickstain! Next time I see him, I’m stapling his lying mouth shut. The balls on him, spewing bullshit like he’s got a diploma in defamation. Did he eat shame for breakfast or was he just born this scummy?’‘Whoa, slow down, what happened?’ I asked.‘Check your phone. I just sent you some screenshots. That sewer rat’s mouthing off again.’I opened the images.‘Are you kidd

Rhys was chained to a chair.Hands cuffed. Ankles shackled. Designer shirt wrinkled beyond salvation. The cops had rattled off a laundry list of charges: ‘Theft. Breaking and entering. Trespassing. Assault. Disturbing the peace. Kidnapping.’Rhys screeched. ‘You’ve got it all wrong! That’s my fiancée! We just had a little lovers’ spat, that’s all!’One of the officers didn’t even look up from his notes. ‘You stole a passcard to Oakwood Apartments. Broke into her flat. Dragged her out against her will. That’s not a spat, Mr Granger. That’s criminal trespass. And according to our records, she’s not your fiancée. You two broke off the engagement. You’re strangers.’Rhys opened his mouth, closed it, then blinked. Hard.Technically true. But still. Bit harsh.‘Look at me!’ he whined. ‘I’m the one bleeding! Check out the bruises! I’m the real victim here. Arrest Ashton Laurent while you’re at it—he’s the one who smashed my face in!’Another officer raised an eyebrow. ‘Given the circumstance

I slapped Ashton’s hand before he could get to his phone.‘Okay, no. Let the cops deal with it. You’ve already gone full Godfather once tonight.’I wasn’t saying I didn’t want Rhys to suffer.I did.I just wasn’t willing to risk Ashton catching a charge for it.When they dragged him off, Rhys already looked half-dead—blood all over his mouth, shirt soaked like something out of a bad crime doc.‘Rhys isn’t worth going to prison for,’ I said to Ashton, in case he got the wrong idea again. He exhaled heavily. ‘Fine. I’ll leave the police to handle it. How’s your wrist?’I rotated my wrist and winced. Damn Rhys and his gym strength.I didn’t say anything, but Ashton saw the sweat beading at my temple.‘Right. Hospital. Now.’I grumbled, ‘It’s not that bad. I’ll live. It’s late. Too much trouble to go to the hospital.’‘I’ll drive.’ His voice left zero room for debate.I still didn’t move, and he added, ‘What, you waiting for me to carry you?’That did it.I sprang up like my arse was on f

OLIVIA’S POVWhen I opened my eyes, the sterile scent of antiseptic filled my lungs. A soft beeping echoed nearby, and warm sunlight filtered through gauzy curtains. I was alive—but where? My gaze darted around until I saw two familiar silhouettes.James. And... Derek? What’s Derek doing here? They were seated at my bedside, both visibly relieved the moment I stirred. James leaned over, his eyes red-rimmed from sleeplessness. “You scared the hell out of us,” he said hoarsely.Derek offered a gentle smile, one that didn’t ask anything of me. “Welcome back.”I blinked, trying to speak, but the words wouldn’t come. James gripped my hand tightly, whispering, “It was Derek. He found you. He carried you out before the building collapsed.”Tears stung my eyes.“Thank you.” I managed to reply.I had survived. But Dominic hadn’t save

DOMINIC’S POVWhen the situation demanded I choose between Evelyn and Olivia—I picked Evelyn.I told myself it was logic. Strategy. The product of a well-executed plan. Not because I didn’t care about Olivia.I did.More than I could admit even to myself. This wasn’t just another mission. This wasn’t a simple hostage situation. This—this was personal. The moment I received the intel, I’d known it. Felt it deep in my bones. Someone out there was trying to steal what little peace I had left. Someone had dared to threaten the two women who shaped my past and my future.I had made preparations. Meticulous, calculated, exhaustive preparations.I positioned my warriors around the perimeter of the abandoned building hours before I walked in. My Gamma and two of my most elite scouts were assigned to track every escape route. Drones monitored the rooftops. Sharpshooters took their positio

  • My Mate Chose The Bitch Who Hurt Our Baby    Chapter 50 AN EASY CHOICE AND DEATH

OLIVIA’S POVThis was it.This was how it would end.The flames crackled hungrily all around me, licking the air with sharp, smoky tongues. The pain in my limbs had dulled into numbness, and the fire's heat pressed against my skin like invisible shackles. My lungs burned with every breath, and my body trembled—though from the fire, the fear, or the betrayal, I couldn’t tell anymore.Evelyn’s plan had worked perfectly. In the eyes of the world, she was the tormented heroine—battered, bruised, weeping as she reached for her beloved Alpha in a tragic moment of chaos. And me?I was the villain. At least, in her story. But I wasn’t a villain.I was the woman left behind. The Luna no one believed. The mother who just wanted to live for her child.I turned my face toward the burning window, barely able to hold my head up, and just then—I saw him.Dominic.He stood at the threshold, silhouetted against the orange blaze, eyes darting between the two rooms. My heart thumped with fragile hope.H
