OLIVIA’S POV

I was tucking Aria into bed, her tiny fingers still clinging to the edge of my sleeve, when James’s voice suddenly echoed through my mind.

“Olivia.”

The urgency in his tone sent a chill down my spine.

I didn’t even respond. I bolted from the room and rushed to check on Noah. My heart wouldn’t stop pounding until I saw them—both of my children, safe, breathing peacefully in their beds.

Only then did I exhale.

Whatever it was, it could wait until morning. It was late, and the kids needed their rest.

But then James’s voice came again, sharper this time—more urgent.

“Olivia… it’s your mother.”

And just like that, everything inside me stilled.

"James, can’t it wait?" I snapped through the link, unable to hide the frustration in my tone. "This is the third time you’ve mind-linked me tonight."

My heart was already fragile—still reeling from that unexpected moment with Derek. I hadn’t even had a chance to fully process what I felt… what I almost let happen.

And now this.

OLIVIA’S POV“You said we were going to meet Mom. Then why did you bring us all here, Olivia?” James asked, his tone cautious but firm.I didn’t stop pacing. My boots clicked against the polished hallway floor with every step, a steady rhythm to match the chaos in my chest.“All in due time, James,” I muttered, avoiding his gaze. “We just have to wait for the right time.”James exhaled sharply. “Olivia, try to calm down. You’re making the kids uneasy.”I glanced toward the corner where Noah and Aria sat, giggling quietly over some silly game. Their soft laughter was a balm to my frayed nerves, but it did little to dull the fury storming inside me.“They’re fine,” I said, my voice clipped. But I wasn’t. Not even close. My fingers curled into fists at my sides as I resumed pacing, every nerve in my body still buzzing from the confrontation with Dominic. The things he said. The way he tried to manipulate me, to force me into submission. He hadn’t changed. Not truly. And what boiled my bl

OLIVIA'S POVHe exhaled sharply. “We’re true mates, Olivia. How can you stand there and say that I betrayed you—?”“Didn’t you?!” My voice cracked like a whip, stopping him in his tracks. “You kept me by your side because you thought I bore the Phoenix Mark. You made me your Luna for status, not for love. And you dare question me?”He shook his head, but I kept going. I needed him to hear it all.“Then your precious childhood sweetheart returned, and suddenly—poof! I was no longer good enough. No longer needed. Everything I did, everything I endured for this pack, for you… meant nothing. You ignored her crimes while blaming me for every minor misstep. You stood silent when I was imprisoned. You walked away when I was starving and pregnant in a dungeon. You let them strip me of my dignity.”My voice had risen, breath shallow. I hadn’t even realized how tightly I was clenching my fists until my nails bit into my palms.Dominic let out a bitter, humorless chuckle. “You think it’s been ea

OLIVIA’S POVAfter James left with the kids, silence fell heavy between Dominic and me. But I kept my mind link open with him, if anything happens I need to be ready. This pack has nothing to give my kids or me, no love or protection.I remained exactly where I stood—spine ramrod straight, arms folded tightly across my chest like a shield. Every inch of me was locked in place, my posture composed, but every nerve beneath my skin screamed with unease. My instincts, now razor-sharp from years of betrayal and hardship, flared like wildfire. Something inside me knew—I wasn’t entirely safe here. Not with him.Not after everything. My gaze swept around the room briefly, but my focus kept circling back to the man standing just a few feet away. The same man who once made me feel like the center of his world… and then left me to burn in it.My heart still couldn’t forget the day he chose. He looked me in the eyes—me, the mother of his children—and walked toward Evelyn instead. That moment was

OLIVIA’S POVAs the atmosphere grew more tense with Evelyn’s presence, James cleared his throat beside me, reminding Dominic that we still had to complete the re-entry paperwork. Officially, I was back in the territory—and that meant registering everything: my housing, my status, and the children.Dominic, to my shock, nodded and gestured toward his office.“This way,” he said coolly. As we stepped inside, I turned to Evelyn, voice sharp. “I’d prefer to have this conversation in private.”She blinked. A flash of something crossed her face—offence? Confusion? Rage? I couldn’t tell. But before she could say anything, Dominic spoke.“Evelyn, wait outside.”No hesitation. No questions. He didn’t even look at her. And that… that surprised me.She didn’t argue, but her heels clicked extra hard against the marble floor as she turned and walked out, her aura souring the air behind her.Dominic sat behind the large mahogany desk, calm, collected—Alpha.James took the seat beside me, back strai

  • My Mate Chose The Bitch Who Hurt Our Baby    Chapter 56 A TRUE FATHER FIGURE

OLIVIA’S POVI didn’t flinch when Dominic asked. I didn’t hesitate.I looked him right in the eyes and shut him down.“No,” I said flatly, voice devoid of emotion. “The children aren’t yours.”The lie left my lips like ice—sharp, cold, and deliberate. But the pain that followed... it wasn’t the kind of sting you get from telling a lie.It was the kind of pain you feel when you speak a truth too close to the bone.Because the truth was—it wasn’t entirely a lie.Dominic may have been their biological father, but that didn’t make him their father. Not truly. Not where it counted.A father is not just the donor of a cell. A father isn’t defined by biology or blood or the fact that his name sits on a certificate. A real father is there. Present. Protective. Gentle. Fierce. Involved.A real father is someone who stands beside the mother, especially when her legs are shaking and her soul is breaking under the weight of raising children alone. My children didn’t know his voice. They didn’t kn

DOMINIC’S POVI couldn’t accept it.No matter how many reports crossed my desk, no matter how many testimonies piled up—all pointing at Laura as the one who killed Jason—I simply couldn’t believe it.They had loved each other for decades—Laura and Jason. To everyone in the pack, they weren’t just the Beta and his wife. They were a symbol. A beacon. The kind of couple that weathered every storm and still chose each other at the end of the day. They didn’t need grand declarations. Their love spoke in quiet glances, in the way Jason always poured Laura’s tea first, or how Laura always knew what Jason was thinking before he even said a word.I still remember the day everything changed for them.It was during a rogue attack—one of the worst our pack had faced in years. Blood spilled on sacred ground, warriors fell, and among the chaos, Laura, pregnant with their first child, was caught in the crossfire. I had never seen Jason like that before. Not even on the battlefield. He carried her thr
