Third Person's POV
"How dare he scheme behind my back and make so many decisions without my knowledge!" Richard fumed.
Emily nodded and replied, "Alright, if he asks me out again next time, I won't go."
Richard turned and entered his study. Emily brought the coffee to his desk and left.
Her heart was pounding—she was anxious about whether Richard had noticed her searching through his things.
Richard picked up his cup to take a sip but suddenly narrowed his eyes. He spotted a silver needle lying on the desk beside his documents. His face instantly changed.
Who had touched his desk?
Apart from Emily, there was no one else at home.
How could she have touched his things?
Richard was inherently paranoid to an extreme degree.
He had deliberately placed a needle in his stack of documents to prevent anyone from tampering with his belongings.
Previously, the needle hadn't fallen out, but today it lay on the de

Third Person's POVRichard sat grimly at home, awaiting news. Upon hearing the report, he let out a cold sneer. Could Emily truly betray him?Evidence suggested she had accessed the files in his office—what did she know, and to what end?Was someone backing her?Blake was the only name that came to mind.Emily was head over heels for him. If Blake promised her something in return, she might very well turn against her adoptive father. But didn't Blake despise her?He had uncovered her role in the construction site accident. How could he forgive such a grave mistake? If Blake had indeed forgiven her and recruited her for his schemes, he was a far more formidable adversary than Richard had anticipated.Richard's thoughts soon turned to the photos of him meeting Bianca that had been leaked. Third Person's POVCatherine's beautiful eyes flickered. "Why do I always feel like you've found a solution? Can you share it with me? Why does it need time to prove itself?"Blake's face froze for a moment. Then, he reached out and whispered into Catherine's ear, "Catherine, don't be too clever right now, okay? There are things I can't tell you yet, but trust me, it's not because I don't want to."Catherine rolled her eyes. "Oh, really? You might as well tell me. I can keep a secret. If you tell me, I won't breathe a word.""I know you can keep it secret, but I don't want to worry you. It's better not to tell you for now," Blake said affectionately.Catherine chuckled. "If that's the case, then fine. I trust you're doing the right thing. Your decisions are always wise.""Are you doubting your husband?" Blake's handsome face contorted.Catherine was only teasing him. Third Person's POV"What are you laughing at?" Cedrick's brows furrowed. If she didn't explain herself soon, he'd lose his temper. Was she getting too out of hand now that he couldn't keep her in check?Jessica quickly stifled her laughter and shook her head. "Nothing. I just find it amusing that you're jealous of him. Your jealousy is misplaced, though. Leo and I have always interacted like this. Sure, we've done some publicity stunts for work before, but we really don't have any chemistry.""Is that so? But I can't help feeling you two care for each other a bit too much." Cedrick still felt uneasy."Leo's my boos and friend. When he heard the news, he checked in on me—it's what friends do. Please, don't be jealous," Jessica said, feeling a sense of helplessness. The truth was, she and Leo had a perfectly innocent relationship.Cedrick knew full well there was nothing between them, but love could make a man irrational."Forget
