Following the setback with Mr. Gustavo, I had called for a meeting to discuss alternatives, but they insisted on getting his approval or terminate the project which was already in progress.

I knew what that meant; it would mean I pay for the losses incurred, and then J.K would definitely ask for compensations, but that wasn't just it.

The fact that it would put an indelible mark on my reputation and ruin my chances of becoming the next CEO greatly infuriated me.
