LOGINThe next morning Hannah awoke on the couch and rubbed her eyes. Looking for her phone she checked to see the current time.
"11:01 am, man I must of really been tired."
Just then Grace appeared walking down the hallway with her large braid over her left shoulder. "Good morning sleepy." She smiled.
"Good morning." Hannah smiled back.
Grace made her way into the kitchen. "I know it's nearly noon but could I offer you some coffee or something to eat?"
"Actually I'd love a cup of coffee. Black please." Hannah replied.
"You got it. One cup coming right up. Fun fact I also drink my coffee black as well."
"Oh? I haven't met too many people that drink their coffee that way." Hannah turned to face in Grace's general direction.
"Well my family loves to travel a lot so we had the experience of having freshly made coffee at one point and since that day I haven't drank my coffee any other way." Grace smiled.
A few moments later Grace handed Hannah her coffee.
Hannah took a big whiff from the mug and groaned. Who knew that basically bean water could smell so good?
"So I know we talked so much last night but I don't think that I asked what you do for work."
Grace set her mug down. "I am a work from home interior designer and home builder. I design and decorate homes from bare land to becoming turn key move in ready."
Hannah raised her eyebrows. That explained why Grace was living in the same apartment complex. The apartments costed easily six figures with an annual f*e. The only reason why Hannah shared the apartment with Oliva was due to Oliva's job working in the medical research field.
"I bet the salary is really nice." Hannah whistled.
"It is. It's actually more money that I would know to do with honestly." Grace sat down next to Hannah and faced her. "I am blessed that I was able to purchase my apartment and pay for the annual fees for nearly a decade in advance. I have some high profile clients, so at least I have job security."
Hannah was dumbfounded. Grace seemed so chill and down to earth. But quietly she was incredibly wealthy. Hannah began to look at Grace differently. She was polite and quiet with a interesting personality. Wealthy yes but respectfully so.
"So what do you do with your money then? Do you have a usual work schedule like Monday through Fridays?" Hannah asked.
Grace shook her head. "Actually no, so there's days where I'll work one or two days and then there will be months or sometimes a year with no work. Or" Grace paused. "I'll work for entire year straight. But my clients aren't pushy or anything like that. I can make my own schedule and still have a social life."
"Wow that actually sounds really nice." Hannah smiled.
"Now as for the money I love to shop until I can't anymore. I'm actually in the market to purchase my first home but I was kinda hoping to be married first. I really wanted to do things the right way." Grace frowned. "My last relationship was really toxic, Don't get me wrong I love to spend money but my ex was spending my money and refused to work and didn't even want to go anywhere or do anything. We fought a lot."
"I sadly know the feeling all too well. I don't make a lot of money but my ex before this relationship spent so much of my money I nearly went into debt." Hannah reached for Grace's hand. "I am glad that both of us got out of that mess."
Hannah then continued "I'd love to buy a house but I'd love to be married first too. Make a fresh start but the way the dating and relationship pool is for me it doesn't look like my chances are that great."
"I know exactly what you mean. I accidentally dated my ex's ex at one point and didn't even realize it until after the relationship was over. Women can be complicated." Grace added.
Suddenly Hannah had an idea. Crazy but would Grace be open to it? Hannah started tapping her fingers against her leg. "Grace what if?...."
Once the plane tickets were booked, Grace and Hannah began to pack their suitcases as full as they could get them. Hannah lugged all four suitcases by the front door and sent a quick message to her sergeant above her letting her know she had gotten married and would be on her honeymoon for the rest of her scheduled leave dates. "Hey babe?" Hannah called out."Yes?" Grace called back. "I let me sergeant aka my boss know that we got married and as soon and my leave aka vacation is over that you and I need to go fill out paperwork so you are allowed on base." Said Hannah. "Sure thing sweetheart. Just let me know what you need from me." Said GraceA few moments later both Grace and Hannah made sure they had all their luggage, Grace's clutch and Hannah's wallet, both of their ID's and plenty of money to burn through."I'm going to call us a taxi to take us to the airport so that way we don't have to worry about paying for long term parking. Don't get me wrong I love to spend money but l
Both Grace and Hannah awoke to the sound of Grace's alarm chirping at eight in the morning."Awh man just give me five more minutes please." Grace groaned."We can't be late to our own wedding." Hannah threw back the blankets and grabbed Grace by her ankles and pulled her downwards to the end of the bed."EEEEK!" Grace squealed.Hannah laughed. "Are you awake yet?""I am now!" Grace shouted.Hannah laughed and walked out into the living room to grab their outfits and returning to the bedroom. "Well we need to get a move on. We have an hour before we need to be at the court house." Hannah walked into the bathroom and began to brush her teeth.Grace finally got the nerve to get out of bed and started to get ready as well. "Should I wear my hair up or down?" She asked."I love the braid that you do when it hangs over your shoulder." Hannah said with a mouthful of toothpaste."Noted. Braid got it" Grace began to brush her hair and began to tie it in a large loose braid over her shoulder.
Later that evening.----------Hannah and Grace sat in Grace's living room on the couch with local take out boxes from Grace's favorite chinese food restaurant. "Who knew that fried rice could be so good?" Grace groaned."Honestly I didn't think it could be. But then again I don't eat out a whole lot. I'm so used to eating my food from a plastic bag that is probably expired." Hannah laughed. Hannah finished her food and then set her empty container back onto the coffee table. "Are you ready to be a married woman tomorrow?" Grace asked clearing away the empty boxes and taking them into the trash."Actually yes I am. I'm rather excited for this new adventure." Hannah smiled. "It crazy how I went from single to engaged to be married in less than twenty four hours.""I think it's a rather great match actually. The outfits we chose are perfect and we got a lot of the conversations out of the way. I think we are off to a great start." Grace added.Hannah looked at their outfits that were
Hannah began to look through the different suits that were available. She settled on a charcoal gray suit with a matching tie and handed over the suit to Carrie who then went through the same alteration process with Grace earlier. -------------Once their outfits were taken back to the seamstresses to be altered, Carrie walked with the women to the register to ring them both up. "Now the alterations are two thousand, your suit is twenty seven hundred and Miss Grace's dress is going to be ten thousand, for a total of fourteen thousand seven hundred dollars. How will you ladies be paying?"Grace eagerly pulled out her credit card and handed it to Carrie who ran it without any trouble. "Perfect. Now here's your card and reciept. Your outfits will be available for pickup no later than nine this evening." Carrie smiled.Grace smiled at Hannah and held her hand. "Outfits are a go, the only thing left is our wedding rings."-------------A little while later while walking through the down
After the two women made their plans and ironed out minor details, they decided to go to the courthouse that following Monday. ----------------Sunday morning both women woke up buzzing and eager with excitement. Hannah and Grace fell into a routine with their morning coffees and sitting rather close to one another on the couch. "I figured once we finish our coffee we can head downtown and go shopping for some clothes for tomorrow. I know it's a simple wedding but I don't want to show up to our wedding in sweatpants." Graced stated. "I am all for that. I need a new suit anyways." "Grace what are you wearing?" Hannah asked. "I wanted a simple white dress. Nothing too fancy, just a regular dress."Hannah finished her cup of coffee and set it into the sink. "Well I am ready whenever you are hon."Grace stood up and grabbed her jacket and keys off of the key holder. "I am too lets go."----------------A little while later Grace and Hannah arrived at a local family owned formal store
Grace was now pulled into the conversation with Hannah and even had her legs crossed together while facing her. "What are you thinking Hannah?" Grace asked. "Well," Hannah swallowed. "What if WE got married and bought a house? I know we just met, but, What if?" Hannah asked. Grace's eyes went wide. "Are you serious?" Suddenly Hannah's offer didn't seem so crazy. Last night Grace learned that Hannah was a medic in the military and had been deployed to a few countries overseas. She also learned that Hannah lived her life honorably, as well as traveled as much as she could. Hannah nodded. "I absolutely am serious. I mean what do we have to lose? We can learn more about one another along the way and have the relationship and marriage be something we both want and need."Grace thought about it. Hannah wasn't wrong. Last night they also talked about small things in a relationship that they would want. From pets to cars and even their favorite colors. The offer that Hannah brought to Gra
