I was sleeping soundly on the bed when the banging sound on my door woke me up, I climbed down the bed and walked to my door looking through the small transparent hole my heart skipped immediately I saw it was my landlord, I leaned back on the door and held onto my fast beating chest as the banging continues

“Morgana I know you're inside that house, open this door right now and pay me my rent, you have been owing me for the past six months and have refused to pay, what kind of wretched orphan are you, if you're so poor that you can't pay me then pack your things and leave or better still sell that useless body of yours and make your life better”

“Morgana!”

“Morgana!” He kept on banging on the door as he rained all sorts of curses on me, 

“I promise you Morgana that the next time I come here, I will break this door and throw you and your useless stuff back to the street where you belong”

The banging finally stopped as my landlord had left. Very soon all the insults I get from people are going to be in the past. As soon as my boyfriend Michael became the CEO of his father’s company he promised to get married to me as soon as possible and take me away from here. 

I met Michael Windmill five years ago after my parent's death. He was the best thing that ever happened to me, he was the best boyfriend and the best partner ever. He told me to wait for him a little bit, just small time is all he needed and he will take me out from the gutters and give me the best life he has always promised. 

I work up to four part-time jobs and I already saved my rent money and was about to pay it when Michael said he had problems and he needed money to sort them, I didn't think twice before I gave all the money I saved up to pay my rent to Michael though he promised to pay back and I know he will as soon as he gets the money.

Since my Landlord is already threatening to throw me out, I think I should go to Michael’s house and stay with him after all he leaves alone and doesn't stay in his father’s mansion, I’m his girlfriend and we will be getting married soon so I don't think he will refuse, 

“You thought well” I smiled to myself and patted my head. I ran to the bathroom and stripped off my clothes. I turned on the shower as the water starts to pour down on me. 

Minutes later I walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my body, it's a beautiful Saturday morning and I can't wait to see my Michael again, jeez I’ve missed him so much and these days he rarely call me or answer when I call, guess he's so busy with work and planning our future together.

I wore a white floral dress, a wooden colored sandals and a black handbag which I hung across my shoulder, I packed my hair in a messy bun feeling so happy and excited, I picked my perfume and discovered it finished a long time ago, I sighed and threw it across the room, I picked my apartment keys and my phone as sneakily opened my room door, I peeped left and right to make sure there's no sign of my landlord else I had be jumping inside my room, everywhere was quiet, probably my neighbors has for work too.

I came out of my apartment and locked my door before I took to my heels running down the street to avoid being seen by my landlord who lives upstairs beside my room. I finally made it to the bus station, I jumped into the bus which was about to leave before I arrived, I took a seat beside the window with my head resting on the window, I can't believe I could run away from my landlord but I can't keep on living this way, I just need to see my Michael I know he's going to be so excited to see me.

The bus finally stopped in front of Michael’s mansion, I climbed down the bus as I walked toward his mansion. I knocked on the door but got no reply, so I pushed the door open, there was nobody in the living room so I decided to go upstairs to his room, and that's when I began to see clothes littered on the stairs first a pink colored bra, and the next was a pink thong lying carelessly on the stairs,

The next thing I saw was one of Michael’s singlets, at this point my heart was beating so fast as I pray for it not to be what I’m thinking, many thoughts were flying throw and flow in my head, 

As I near the door my heart was pounding endlessly, I turned the door knob but the door was open. I could hear moans and growls from the room. I closed my eyes hoping that when I open this door it will be a whole different thing from what I’m thinking. 

I breathed in and out before I finally pushed the door open, immediately I saw the scene before me staggered back in shock and covered my mouth as tears roll down my eyes, 

Memories of all the promises Michael made to me came flashing before my eyes like a movie

“You're my whole world Morgan on promise to make you smile again”

“You’re the air I breathe Morgana and I’ll love you till the end of time”

“I’ll become the CEO and make you my queen you will no longer experience suffer”
