I woke to warmth.

Not the kind that came from fire or sunlight, but the living warmth of another body pressed against mine familiar, grounding, unmistakably Jane. He was curled into me, one leg draped over my thigh, his head tucked beneath my chin like it had always belonged there. His breathing was slow and deep, the kind that only came when his mind was finally at rest.

For a long moment, I didn’t move.
