Chapter Twenty Two

It was like he flipped a switch. We were hot and heavy and then I shut it down and he turned cold. Which yeah, I haven't know him that long, but that shut down sucked out all humor all that I know about him. Which is nice, sweet, approachable. But no, his eyes even appeared darker. Like a shadow came over his soul and a storm cloud over the person I knew. And then just like that he took a moment to collect himself and he just turns to me and smiles his normal smile. But it didn't feel right. It just didn't.

"I'm good, Brenna." He said with a kind smile.

I scooted up more on the bed to rest against the headboard. "Really, because that wasn't what it looked like to me. You shut down and you literally looked different, Viktor. And if I'm going to be honest it kinda scared me."

He sat up dropped his shoulders and again he stared at the wall and I waited for some kind of response from him. When nothing came I decided I needed to just move. Get dressed and proceed on
