(Lysander’s POV)

I sat quietly in the car. The engine is off, and I’m parked a little way down the street from the address Beta Mid gave me. My hands are gripping the steering wheel tightly as my eyes stay glued to the house ahead.

I don’t know what I’m expecting to see. I don’t even know what I’m doing here. But Mid told me Almira was staying here. I gave him the order to track her because I needed answers.

The documents my father shoved in my face keep replaying in my mind.

I need to know if they’re real. If she really took the money and…

I swallowed hard.

It’s impossible, right? What kind of woman could do something so evil? It might not be long, but I know that she’s not the kind who’d kill her own blood. I’m more convinced that it’s my father planting lies inside my head again. He always does that to make me do what he wants.

A few minutes later the door finally opened, and there she was. Almira.

She stepped out onto the porch, clutching her bag like she was trying to hide someth

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 96 He's Awake

(Almira’s POV)The healers said he wouldn’t wake up for a few more days—if at all.But that didn’t stop me from sitting beside him every hour, barely blinking.Lysander lay still on the white stone bed, his chest rising and falling with shallow breaths. His body had been torn apart—burned, slashed, cursed—and still, he had shielded me. Thrown himself into the blast radius of a dark witch’s spell with nothing but his body as a shield. It should’ve killed him.It almost did.I sat on the edge of the cot, my hand over his. I had changed the bandages myself. Cleaned the blood from his face. Whispered his name like a prayer while the healers worked in silence. And when they had all given up, it was my tears—my grief—that had triggered the magic that saved him.The Sunstone had bloomed from within me like wildfire, but it wasn’t destruction this time. It was healing.I

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 95 It's Over

(Almira’s POV)The battle was over. The blood had been washed from the Citadel steps, the bodies taken care of, and the fires finally put out. But no one could sweep away what we all felt in our bones—that the world had changed. That I had changed.I walked slowly through the corridor, my limbs heavier than they’d ever been. The Citadel’s stone walls hummed softly with protective enchantments, but my magic—whatever I had unlocked when Lysander fell—was still pulsing faintly under my skin. Warm, golden, aching.I had killed them all.The witches. The corrupted werewolves with blue marks who’d screamed as they disintegrated beneath the blinding burst of light I’d poured out of my body.I remembered screaming Lysander’s name as I held him—his blood coating my hands, his heart slowing beneath my palms. And then…I remembered the Sunstone inside me cracking open like

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 94 Witchbane

(Almira’s POV)The battlefield stank of death.Flesh, smoke, burned fur, and bitter magic hung in the air, choking us with every breath. Screams pierced the thick fog, flashes of light erupted from witchfire bolts—red and violet streaks cutting through the forest like falling stars.I barely saw it—just a blur of blue and gold, then a body soaring through the air.“LYSANDER!”I ran. Fast. Too fast.My feet barely touched the ground as I pushed through tangled roots and flaming debris. Trees snapped like twigs under rogue bodies, and more witches dropped from the skies, their wings stitched with corrupted sigils. This wasn’t a battle anymore. It was an execution. A massacre. And at the heart of it all… lay him.His body sprawled against a tree, blood soaking through his chest—so much of it, too red, too fast. Witchbane.I crashed beside him, knees buckling, the world spinning around me.“No,” I gasped, shaking him. “Lysander, no, no, no…”His breathing was shallow, barely a whisper. Bl

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 93 Get Behind Me

(Almira’s POV)The night had been quiet. Too quiet.Lysander had just brushed my knuckles with his, his voice low and warm, when I heard the shift in the air. It was subtle at first. A sudden chill. The woods around the private hot spring went still—no breeze, no crickets, no life. Then came the snap.A surge of magic ripped through the trees and cracked into the earth like a bolt from a storm. The water behind us erupted into steam, scalding and thick, just as Lysander grabbed my waist and pulled me down.*Boom!*The ground where we’d been seconds ago exploded. Fire licked at the edges of the moss-covered rocks.“What the hell?” I hiss, rolling up to my knees. My eyes dart to the shadows moving fast between the trees—hooded figures, hands glowing with blood-red light.Witches.Lysander’s face hardens as he shields me with one arm. “They’ve found us.”Another blast tears through the air, and Lysander growls, the sound guttural and furious. He shifts halfway, claws erupting from his ha

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 92 Dinner

(ALMIRA’S POV)I knew something was off the moment I walked into the garden. There were candles. Candles and flower petals and a blanket set out beneath the peach tree. The same tree where Asher and Hazel used to build their stick forts. Now it looked like a page outNow it looked like a page out of some fairytale I’d never believed in. A small table stood nearby with food—warm, freshly cooked food—and two glasses of sparkling elderflower wine. And there, sitting under the tree with sleeves rolled up and a nervous smile on his lips, was Lysander.“What… is all this?” I asked, raising a brow as I stopped at the edge of the scene.Lysander stood, brushing off his pants, suddenly looking like the awkward boy next door and not the powerful Alpha of one of the most formidable packs in the region. “It was their idea,” he admitted, nodding toward the house. “The kids said you’ve been too serious lately. They thought… maybe you deserved a break.”I blinked, stunned. “You let them set this up?

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 91 Another Chance?

(Almira's POV)It’s raining again. Not the kind of storm that rips trees apart or makes the sky look like it’s bleeding—just a soft, persistent drizzle. It slicks the earth, darkens the windowpanes, and blankets the world in a hush. Everything feels quieter in the rain.I sit curled up in the large armchair by the hearth, an old, knitted shawl draped over my shoulders. My fingers absently trace the rim of the mug in my hands—lukewarm tea now, the scent of ginger and lemongrass still clinging to the steam.Hazel is humming under her breath as she braids wildflowers into her doll’s coarse black hair. She talks to it as she works, whispering stories about ancient queens and brave daughters. The stories sound suspiciously familiar—versions of mine that I thought she was too young to remember.Asher is attempting to levitate an apple again. His brow is furrowed in concentration, little fingers twitching in midair.I feel the power swirl around the fruit—a low thrumming that vibrates just b

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 90 The Revelation

(Almira’s POV)The night smelled of blood. Not wolf blood. Not human either.Magic.Ancient. Rotted. Old as the bones buried beneath this cursed land.I crouched low against the balcony stone, my hand wrapped tightly around the dagger hilt strapped to my thigh. The wind tore at my cloak as voices rose below — one I knew like the rhythm of my own breath.Lysander.And the other?Sweet. Sultry. Pretending to purr even now, even with the scent of death hanging in the air.Rachelle.I should’ve known. I *did* know. Every inch of my body had screamed it from the moment she looked at Hazel and Asher like they were keys instead of children. But I needed proof. Not just instinct. Not just rage. And tonight, I had it.I watched them through the cracked marble archway. Lysander stood stiffly, shoulders taut, his silver blade slick with fresh blood — not his own. The scent was still risi

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 89 She Knows

(Hazel's POV)The honey cakes taste too sweet. Like they’re trying to cover something up.I chew slow, just like Mama told me—never trust sweetness too fast. Especially from someone who talks too soft and smiles too much. I keep my eyes half-closed, the way wolves do when they’re watching something dangerous.Rachelle’s voice is like syrup, sticky and fake. “I want to help you, Hazel. You and your brother. I want to teach you how not to be controlled.”I blink at her. That word. *Controlled*. I don’t like it. It sounds like cages and chains and being told what to do with the thing that burns under my skin. I don’t know what I am yet—but I know I’m not a tool. And neither is Asher. She leans closer, like she thinks we’re sharing secrets now. “People are always scared of what they can’t control. Even your mother.”I sit up straighter. “My mom&rsquo

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 88 They Know

(Rachelle’s POV)Later that eveningThe night is soft and heavy with the scent of pine and late-blooming jasmine. The wind hums outside my window, stirring the curtains like a lullaby. It should be calming. But I’m wired.Because they didn’t push me away today.Hazel didn’t glare as hard. Asher actually asked me a question. It was small, meaningless to someone who doesn’t know what to listen for—but to me? It was everything.“Can you do magic too?”A casual question from a curious boy, sure. But it meant he was wondering. Wondering if he could learn something from me. Wondering if I had answers that no one else had given him. And most of all—if I was different from the grown-ups who only saw his power as something to control. That’s how it starts. It always starts with wonder.Hazel, though… Hazel is different. She’s the hard one. Not
