ASHINA’S POV

Seeing Daniel walk down the stairs threw me into a spiral and I blurted out something I shouldn’t.

“Daniel?” Nathan asked. I saw him shift in his chair uncomfortably, his darting between me and Daniel who now sat opposite me.

“No…no” I stuttered. My brain was currently blank and I couldn’t find the words to save myself from this dire situation. I called out to my wolf for help but she blatantly ignored me.

“What’s this about a date?” Daniel suddenly asked from his seat.

“Ashina here, is supposedly going out on a date with a certain Daniel,” Erica interjected annoyingly. “Wait a minute, don’t tell me it’s this Daniel,” she continued, throwing her head back in a fit of laughter.

I felt my face burning with embarrassment and my heart racing with anxiety. Nathan's eyes were still fixed on me, searching for answers, while Daniel's gaze was fixed on me with a mix of amusement and curiosity. I was trapped, and my wolf's silence wasn't helping.
