Now it’s time to start bringing in the big bucks and start paying off the loan. I’m so happy, Ama, it’s a dream come true!” I let out excitedly as we both sat in our apartment and talked about my interview. There was a moment there when I wanted to lash out at the interviewer.

I mean, what has my sex life got to do with the job, what does my preferred sexual partners have to do with anything?

It’s just so sickening. It got more annoying when I was asked if Amara is my lesbian partner. Like, what the fuck is wrong with these people?

I tried so hard to maintain my positive attitude and answer the questions. It would have been such a scandal if I’d lashed out or even slapped my interviewer.
