Aria.

The tray of spaghetti hit me square in the chest, the cold noodles and sauce splattering over my new uniform and across my face. The cafeteria erupted into laughter, the sound deafening as the other Ravens joined in throwing food at us from all sides.

I didn’t move, I stood frozen, not believing what was happening. My heart pounded as laughter and jeers echoed around me. My shoulder throbbed from the food impact and I could feel blood mixing with the sauce from the spaghetti.

But the physical pain was nothing compared to the humiliation that burned in my chest. I blinked back the tears, refusing to give them the satisfaction from seeing me cry.

Beside me, Lila was trembling and already crying, her uniform stained with food as well as every Silverwood wolf around us. From the corner or my eye, I saw Maya standing at the edge of the crowd.

Her face was pale as tears ran down her cheeks. She looked guilty as she clenched her hands beside her like she wanted to intervene but did

  • My Quarterback Alpha   Chapter 43

AriaThe lights dimmed slowly, plunging the vast hall into a calm hush as all heads turned to the raised stage. My breath caught in my throat when Alpha Magnus Blackthorn stepped forward, tall and commanding, wearing a dark suit that seemed to absorb the light. He was power personified. Standing just to his right, Kai looked like a shadow of that same authority, sharper, younger, and terrifyingly poised.Beta Adric Hale, who stood slightly below the alpha, his cold gaze sweeping the crowd with sharp precision. Ryder stood beside Kai on the opposite platform, his face as blank and unreadable as everAlpha Magnus Blackthorn stepped up to the mic, his voice steady and resonant."Good evening, Ravencrest," he said, sweeping his gaze over the gathered wolves. His presence alone was enough to silence a room. "Tonight marks an important moment. Not just for our pack, but for the future we are building together."He paused, letting the weight of his words settle before gesturing slightly to K

  • My Quarterback Alpha   Chapter 42

AriaMaya handed me a glass of lemonade just as a sudden chill spread through the air. It was subtle, like the kind of cold that makes the tiny hairs on your arms stand straight. She turned sharply, eyes narrowing.“What is it?” I asked, my voice quiet as I looked around the room.“Beta Adric Hale. Ryder’s family is here.” she said, and I didn’t miss the way her tone shifted. There was a weight to his name, and I felt it settle in the pit of my stomach.I followed her gaze and saw a tall man enter the hall. He looked like he had been carved from steel, every edge sharp, every step deliberate. His black suit clung perfectly to his broad frame, and a deep scar ran along the side of his face, from temple to jaw. His eyes, cold and unreadable, swept over the crowd like he was evaluating each person’s worth. People shifted at his presence, a clear path opening without a single word spoken.Beside him was a woman, regal in her own way, though there was a tiredness in her eyes. She had aubur

  • My Quarterback Alpha   Chapter 41

AriaThe hall was glowing.Golden chandeliers hung like constellations above our heads, glittering across the high arched ceiling. The scent of polished wood and something floral and expensive perfume hung in the air. The walls were dressed in deep velvet drapes, and the room itself buzzed with quiet murmurs and clinking glasses. Every inch of the Ravencrest Pack Hall looked like it belonged in a fairytale. I walked hand in hand with Lila, with Maya just a step ahead, explaining everything in the room. My fingers felt cold even though the room was warm. All silverwoods wolves were in our school uniforms. The plain navy sweaters and button-ups we’d been told to wear for the ceremony, with our badge in full display. It marked us clearly, outsiders, refugees. Everyone in the room saw us that way.Everywhere I looked, there were wolves in elegant gowns and tailored suits. Their clothes shimmered with wealth, their postures screamed confidence, and their eyes… well, most of them didn’t hid

Aria. The moment I stepped into the dorm building from school, I was greeted by the familiar sharp tap of heels against the tiled floor.Mrs Holt. She appeared from behind the reception desk with her usual expression, tight-lipped and annoyed at the world. Her eyes narrowed when they landed on me.“There you are,” she said, arms folded. “Classes ended two hours ago. Where have you been?.”“Tutoring.” I said easily, remembering my session with Kai who thought it would be funny to not listen during the lesson and would rather stare at me. After a series of smacking him, he finally engaged in the session. Her gaze swept over me like she didn’t believe a word of it. “I was just about to come find you. I’ve been instructed to take you to your new room.”“I know,” I said, holding up the silver key Kai gave me. “I already got it.”She blinked. “Got it? From whom?”“Kai,” I said casually, though the way her brows shot up told me that maybe I should’ve just said ‘Mr Blackthorn.’“The future

AriaThe badge in my hand looked harmless. A small silver plate with my name etched into it.Aria Lagnston. Below it in bold lettering, Omega from Silverwood. Then in smaller numbers beneath that, Rank 6 in Ravencrest. Strength: 3/10. My fingers closed around it tightly before pinning it to my uniform.“They finalized the results this morning, the rest of your pack would get theirs from their guides” Maya said beside me as she handed Lila hers.Lila squinted at hers. “Rank 6. Strength 2. Wow. That’s generous,” she muttered, slipping it into her pocket without another word.“They based it off the ranking program we did last week,” Maya added quickly, as if trying to ease the awkwardness. “Physical ability, strategy, wolf control, all of that. It’ll all be announced officially at the Ranking Ceremony.”I raised an eyebrow. “Ceremony?”“Yeah,” Maya nodded. “It’s a Ravencrest tradition. New refugees from allied or defeated packs get fully accepted once the rankings are displayed. Everyone

  • My Quarterback Alpha   Chapter 38

KaiI could feel my fingers twitching where they played with the ring on my thumb. The silver band spun slowly, a habit I’d picked up from my brother. Something about the motion kept my mind from cracking. The weight of the field pressed down on me. Every head was lowered. Even Logan, who had the temper of a cornered wolf and hated silence, stood still. His arms were crossed tightly, but his head was down. Adrian’s chin dipped just slightly. Even Elliot was peeking sideways, keeping one eye low while the other flicked toward me.But Ryder… he didn’t look away. His stare was sharp, unblinking, like he was waiting to see what I would do. Like he already knew what I had done.I turned my head back to him. To my father.Alpha Magnus Blackthorn. His shadow fell across the grass like it had its own weight. The air tasted colder with him standing there. His voice didn’t rise. It didn’t need to.“Where have you been?”His gray eyes pierced through me, searching, stripping me down to nothing. T
