And then he was there again.

My father.

He didn’t kneel. He didn’t ask if I was alright. He didn’t so much as blink.

“Tch,” he muttered coldly. “That’s what happens when you run.”

I looked up at him, eyes wide and stinging with tears. I wanted him to reach for me. Just once. I wanted him to see me.

Oh my gosh that ending! I’m loving what is happening between the two!! I was hesitant and thought there would be more to the information Aria found out but now seeing how Kai’s dad treats him I believe he is an awful Alpha who shouldn’t be ruling over a pack. Kai needs to take his father down!

AriaI stared down at my phone longer than I should have. Kai’s name sat there on the screen with the silly picture he attached to it.All I had to do was press call. Aria. The car rolled slowly through the towering black gates, the crunch of gravel under the tires echoing faintly in the night. Taking a steadying breath, I reached for him, brushing the strands away from his forehead. My fingers froze when they came back sticky with blood. Kai.The first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes was the sunlight bleeding through the tall curtains, cutting across my face. Aria.Kai was heavy. Way heavier than I imagined, his entire frame leaning on me like I was supposed to carry the weight of his world and his drunkenness at the same time. My shoulder ached as his arm draped over me, his body slumped forward while his head lolled dangerously close to my neck.“Stay
