Chapter 86: The Wait is Over

Everyone is acting really weird. First, when I woke up, no one ever greeted me with a good morning. It’s not like I didn’t encounter any of the people I was close with! I met uncle Dalton and Ella on my way to the kitchen, but they just looked at me weirdly then left. 

More so than that, I didn’t see Hera when I woke up. She would usually wait until I woke up, but the bed was unusually cold and empty. 

I sighed in relief when I saw River and Devyn sitting down on the couch. I walked over to where they were and plopped down on the chair right in front of them. 

They stopped talking and became serious when I arrived. 

“Have you guys seen Hera? She’s been gone since the morning,” I asked. 

Again, they just looked at me weirdly and whispered among themselves. 

“I don’t think we should tell him,” Devyn whispered into River’s ear.

I rolled my eyes.
