I reached the master suite, grabbed the brass handle, and threw the door wide open.

The sight inside rendered me paralyzed.

Nathan was reclined against the silk pillows, fully stripped to his waist, while two stunning, half-dressed women draped themselves across his chest and lap. Empty champagne bottles littered the antique nightstands.

All three of them whipped their heads toward the door.

Nathan didn't even flinch. A slow, razor-thin smirk spread across his face. He casually slid a heavy arm around the waist of the brunette beside him, his eyes dancing with cruel amusement.

“Audrey,” he drawled, his voice thick with alcohol. “Meet the newest additions to our open arrangement. I figured I’d start early.”

My throat locked up. A cold sweat broke out along the nape of my neck, and for three agonizing seconds, my vision blurred with red hot rage. My heart hammered against my ribs so violently I could feel it in my teeth.

Then, like a switch flipping in my mind, Vivian’s voice cut through the roaring in my ears: If he wants an open marriage… give him one.

I  stared into Nathan's taunting eyes until the smirk on his face faltered just a fraction. Then, without uttering a single word, I pulled the heavy door shut, letting the lock click firmly into place.

I turned on my heel and walked straight down the gallery toward the west wing guest suites, my spine straight as steel, refusing to let a single tear fall.

The next morning, I stood in front of the vanity mirror in the guest suite at 7:00 a.m.

My reflection was unrecognizable. The heartbroken, desperate wife from forty-eight hours ago was gone. In her place was a woman with cold, calculating eyes and dark circles carefully hidden under layer after layer of high-end concealer.

One question burned in my chest with every violent beat of my heart: How do I burn Nathan’s pride to the ground?

By the time I pulled into the executive garage at Hayes Corp, the framework of a ruthless strategy had snapped into place.

I pushed open the double doors of my private suite.

Julian was already there. He stood up from behind his desk the moment I walked in, holding a steaming cup of dark roast coffee. "Good morning, Mrs. Hayes."

I stopped in the middle of the room, looking at him. Really looking at him.

Broad shoulders. Flawless structure. Lethal intelligence hiding behind polite grey eyes. He was everything Nathan wasn't—sharp, controlled, and intensely present.

A slow, dangerous smile curved my lips.

"Mr. Vance," I commanded softly, stepping backward into my private office and holding the door open. "Step inside and close the door behind you."

Julian paused, a flicker of surprise passing through his dark eyes before he smoothly complied. He walked past me, his masculine scent filling the space, and clicked the door securely shut. He turned around, raising a subtle brow. "Is there an emergency with the audit files, ma'am?"

"No," I replied, crossing my arms over my chest as I locked my eyes directly onto his. My heart pounded against my ribs, hot adrenaline surging through my veins. "I have a business proposal for you."

Julian tilted his head, his gaze sharpening as he read the sudden shift in my aura. "What kind of proposal, Mrs. Hayes?"

I took a slow step toward him, letting the heavy silence stretch between us until the tension in the room was almost thick enough to touch.

"I want to offer you..." I paused, my voice dropping into a quiet, deadly whisper. "...a contract marriage."

Julian didn't flinch, but the complete stillness that overtook him was absolute. For a long, dangerous second, the only sound in the office was the distant hum of the city thirty floors below. His grey eyes tracked my face, probing, searching for any sign of a breakdown. He found none.

Slowly, he set the untouched mug of coffee down on the mahogany desk. The ceramic clicked sharply against the polished wood.

"A contract marriage," he repeated, testing the words carefully. "You are already married to the Chief Executive Officer of this company, Audrey."

"On paper," I corrected, stepping close enough to feel the radiant warmth of his body. "A paper that means nothing. Nathan made it clear last night that our marriage is open. He wants freedom, zero consequences, and public devotion while he degrades me. He thinks he’s playing a game only he knows the rules to."

Julian leaned back slightly against the edge of the desk, crossing his arms over his broad chest. The posture was relaxed, but the intensity in his gaze told a very different story. "And where do I fit into your rules?"

"Nathan’s weakness isn't money, Julian. It’s control," I said, my voice steadying into an icy, unshakable confidence. "He took this company's board for granted because he assumed my family’s shares were permanently anchored to his name. He takes me for granted because he thinks I have nowhere else to go."

I unclasped my leather portfolio, pulled out a single sheet of paper, and slid it across the mahogany surface toward him.

"My grandfather’s original trust clause," I explained. "In the event of a marital breach, my forty percent voting stake doesn't default to Nathan. It reverts to a secondary designated trust—managed jointly by me and an appointed executive of equal standing."

Julian’s eyes dropped to the document. He scanned the legal terms with the speed of a man who lived and breathed high-stakes corporate warfare. A faint, almost imperceptible shift occurred in his expression. The polite assistant facade vanished entirely, replaced by the calculating strategist who had quietly run half of Hayes Corp’s back-end logistics while Nathan took the credit.

"You don't just want to hurt his pride," Julian murmured, looking up, his dark eyes sharp with sudden realization. "You’re going to strip him of his voting majority."

"I’m going to take his company," I corrected softly. "And I’m going to do it while he watches. But the board won't accept a messy divorce. They need stability. If I file for annulment under the trust’s breach clause and execute a strategic marital contract with you, we combine my shares with your proxy votes. We form an absolute majority before Nathan even realizes the papers have been drawn."

"And the personal fallout?" Julian asked, his voice dropping into a low, gravelly register. "Nathan will try to ruin your reputation."

"Let him," I spat, the rage from last night finally hardening into pure, refined steel. "By the time he realizes what hit him, the ink on the proxy transfer will be dry. He wanted an open arrangement. I am simply taking him at his word and choosing a better partner."

Julian remained still for three long seconds. The air between us vibrated with a sudden, electric weight.

"What is my compensation?" he asked smoothly. No shock. No moral hesitation. Just pure, pragmatic business.

"Ten percent of my personal equity upon execution of the takeover," I replied without missing a beat. "A permanent seat on the executive board. And the absolute satisfaction of watching Nathan Hayes ask you for permission to enter his own office."

A slow, breathtaking smile spread across Julian’s face. It wasn't the arrogant smirk Nathan used to mock people; it was the quiet, dangerous grin of a man who had just been handed the winning hand.

He reached into his jacket, pulled out a sleek Montblanc pen, and uncapped it with a crisp click. "Where do I sign?"

I watched as he signed his name in dark, decisive ink across the bottom of the agreement. The nightmare of last night hadn't broken me—it had liberated me. Nathan thought he had humiliated a weak wife. He had no idea he had just signed his own execution.

"Get the legal team on a secure line," I said, taking the pen back from his hand. "We have a press conference to plan."

When we walked into the room, Vivian was already sitting there, legs crossed across each other. She smiled when her eyes fell on me and an even wider smile when she saw the tall and handsome specimen standing behind me.“I didn't know you were going to take it this far" she said in a low voice, “There's no way Nathan's ego is going to take this. He's much finer than Nathan will ever be" Although she was right, I refused to dabble in the idea. This was to teach the other man a lesson, nothing more than that. “Are the lawyers here?" On second thought I had told Julian I needed a full clad contract to hold us together. Just in case he decided to play games with me and for his protection as well, so I didn't just go back on my words. He had agreed readily. Behind me, he stood with his hands folded in front of him. “This way" Vivian led us through the small room to the open conference room on the other side. Two lawyers sat there, clad in black that shone with an aura of wealth from t

  • My Ruthless Billionaire Husband Wants An Open Marriage    The Final Decision

Before I realized it, the sky outside my floor-to-ceiling windows had turned a bruised violet. The glowing clock on my desk read exactly 6:00 p.m.I packed up my laptop, grabbed my leather handbag, and crossed the room. Just as my fingers reached for the brass handle, the door swung open from the outside. Julian stepped in, bringing with him a faint scent of cedarwood and crisp linen, and gently clicked the door shut behind him.“Mrs. Hayes, I was just coming to remind you that the executive floor is closing,” he said, glancing down at the silver timepiece on his wrist before locking his dark eyes back onto mine. “You also have the preliminary audit meeting with the board at eight tomorrow morning.”“Thank you, Mr. Vance. I’ll go over the risk projections tonight.” I reached past him to turn the heavy brass doorknob. It didn't budge.I twisted it harder, putting my weight into it, but the handle remained deadlocked. My jaw tightened.“Is there a problem, Mrs. Hayes?” Julian stepped cl

  • My Ruthless Billionaire Husband Wants An Open Marriage    Blinding Light

The blinding glare of the morning sun reflected through the floor-to-ceiling windows pulled me awake. I blinked against the brightness, a sharp pain shooting through my temples as a dull, thumping ache settled right behind my eyes. I groaned, reaching out blindly with a stiff arm for my phone on the glass side table. The glowing screen read 10:14 AM.My heart instantly dropped into my stomach, dropping like lead. "Shit!"I bolted upright so fast my head spun, a sudden wave of dizziness making the room tilt. Vivian was still fast asleep under a plush throw blanket nearby, completely undisturbed. Throwing off the covers, I hurried into her guest bathroom, splashing freezing cold water onto my face to wash away the dried tears and soothe my swollen eyelids. I pulled on an off-white, two-piece tailored suit I borrowed from her closet. The fabric was crisp, fitting snugly across my shoulders and pulling my posture upright whether I wanted it to or not.Fifteen minutes later, my knuckles w

  • My Ruthless Billionaire Husband Wants An Open Marriage    Out of Your Mind

“You’re unbelievable.” A bitter, broken laugh escaped my chest as hot tears finally spilled over my lashes, blurring the sight of him. “Are you even listening to yourself? The great billionaire Nathan Hayes wants an open marriage just so he can parade his escorts without consequences.”My lips curled into a disdainful smile, though my hands trembled so violently at my sides that my nails bit deep into my palms, the sharp bite of pain doing nothing to ground the sickening spin of the room.“Audrey!” Nathan roared. His jaw clenched, a thick muscle pulsing dangerously under his smooth skin as his dark eyes flashed with warning. The sheer volume of his voice vibrated in my sternum, making my throat tighten so hard I could barely draw air.“Don’t you dare raise your voice at me!” I shot back, pointing a trembling, accuseful finger straight at his chest. Blood rushed to my face, and my eyes watered, while the rest of my body felt utterly numb. “You lost the right to speak my name the second

  • My Ruthless Billionaire Husband Wants An Open Marriage    Silent Whistle

The first sign that something was wrong wasn’t the red lipstick on his collar. It was the silence.I stepped out of my sports car and paused on the wide stone driveway. Usually, the three-story marble mansion was humming with life. I should have heard the staff polishing the grand foyer, low classical music filtering from the garden speakers, or Nathan’s deep voice echoing down the hall as he closed another million-dollar deal.Tonight, there was nothing.I checked the glowing screen of my phone. Exactly 8:00 p.m.My eyebrows pulled together. I looked toward the private garage and spotted Nathan’s custom sleek black Ferrari. Why was he home? He had told me his board meeting would run until ten.I had spent the afternoon planning a quiet, high-end catered dinner, hoping to fix the cold distance that had grown between us over the last year. I had trusted his word.I pushed open the heavy mahogany front door. It swung back with a quiet click. Sighing, I tossed my designer shopping bags o
