Chapter 27

Marshall entered the coffee shop and looked around. He saw Bolt sitting by the window with a cup of coffee in front of him.

He went to the counter and ordered one for himself with a cookie and went to take his seat once he got his order.

Bolt didn't speak for a while, assessing him with a deep gaze. Marshall kept his gaze too. He wasn't going to let him think that he was a weak man.

Finally Bolt broke the tense silence with a deep breath.

“Yesterday your wife visited Josh’s restaurant while he had a meeting going on in the hall”. He started off without any pleasantries.

“I am not aware of it”. Marshall was actually surprised.

“I don't know if you were aware of it or not, but she had created so much fuss there. She tried to picture Josh as the most disgusting man on earth in front of his prestigious clients.

She had tried everything she could to sabotage his reputation while I had strictly forbade you to keep her under your hodl, that you failed, miserably.
