Caitlyn's POV

Blake didn't say a word. He just stared at me quietly, his expression unreadable. My body felt like it was floating off the ground. I knew what he had given me—drugs.

I stared at him in disbelief.

The gentle smile I was used to was gone, replaced by cold, calculating eyes. There was no trace of the confusion or vulnerability I had seen before. My heart pounded in my chest, and my wolf, Lily, howled in my mind, sensing danger.

I glared at him, demanding answers with my eyes. Blake smiled coldly, his voice soft but chilling.

"Because you're a foolish woman, Caitlyn. You'll understand why I'm doing this soon enough, my dear."

My eyes widened. This wasn't the Blake I thought I knew—or maybe I had never known him. I tried to pull my hand away from his grip, but his hold was like iron.

Oh, Moon Goddess! Blake was such a good actor. I hadn't told anyone I was coming here, not even Raymond. My resentment toward him h

  • My Second Mate Is Alpha King   Chapter 56 Blood Pact

Caitlyn’s POVThe air inside the house had turned thick, suffocating, as Linda’s words sank in.My parents had made a pact.A pact with something ancient. Something not entirely of this world.I stared at her, my hands clenched into fists, nails digging into my palms. My heartbeat thundered in my ears. “You’re lying.”Linda shook her head, her expression tight with regret. “I wish I were.”The weight of her gaze was unbearable, as if she were staring through me rather than at me. She looked different—older, wearier. The sharp, confident woman I remembered was gone. Now, she seemed like a ghost of herself, burdened by truths too heavy to carry alone.Raymond stood beside me, arms crossed, his body tense. The muscles in his jaw clenched. “Tell us everything. Now.”Linda took a slow breath before speaking. “Your parents… they were brilliant, Caitlyn. But they

  • My Second Mate Is Alpha King   Chapter 55 The Awakening of Power

Darkness. Then a rush of cold air.The scent of pine and damp earth filled my nostrils as I gasped awake, my pulse hammering in my ears. My body trembled as I took in my surroundings. Tall trees loomed over me, their twisted branches forming jagged shapes against the starless sky.I wasn’t in my bed. I wasn’t in my house.I stood barefoot in the middle of the woods, my toes sinking into the wet soil. The night air bit at my skin, my thin pajamas offering no warmth. My breath came in short, panicked gasps as I turned in circles, searching for any sign of familiarity. Nothing. Only silence. An unnatural silence, as if the forest itself was holding its breath.A blackout. Again. The third one this week.Terror coiled around my ribs, squeezing tight. My hands shook as I pressed them against my temples, willing myself to remember. But my mind was empty—a vast, gaping void where my memories should have been. One moment, I had bee

  • My Second Mate Is Alpha King   Chapter 54 The Hunter’s Return

Caitlyn’s POVThe storm outside raged as if the heavens themselves were at war. Thunder cracked through the sky, shaking the windows of my small bakery, while the rain pounded against the glass. It was the kind of night that made the hairs on my arms stand on end, though I knew deep down that it wasn’t the storm outside that unsettled me. It was the one brewing inside my home.Kane had barely slept since the last nightmare, and when he did, he woke up shaking, drenched in sweat, whispering things in a voice that wasn’t his. I had stayed by his side all night, but exhaustion clawed at my limbs. Even Raymond, who rarely showed concern openly, hovered nearby, eyes sharp with worry. And then there was Lily—my wolf—who had been restless ever since the rogue’s death. She paced in my mind, ears perked, sniffing at something I couldn’t see. It was as if an unseen force was pulling at her spirit, and she didn’t like it. Nei

  • My Second Mate Is Alpha King   Chapter 53 Shadows in the Dark

Caitlyn’s POVThe nightmares started two nights after the rogue died in my bakery. At first, I thought Kane was just restless. But then, I noticed how his small body would jolt awake, drenched in sweat, his hands clenched into fists. His breathing was uneven, his golden eyes flickering with something I couldn’t place. It wasn’t just a bad dream. It was something more.“Mom,” Kane whispered one night, gripping my arm as I sat on the edge of his bed. His voice was hoarse, like he had been screaming in his sleep. “They keep calling my name.”A chill ran down my spine. “Who does, sweetheart?”“The wolves with glowing eyes.”My heart pounded. “Glowing eyes?” I repeated, brushing damp curls from his forehead.Kane nodded, his face pale under the dim light of the bedside lamp. “They stand in the dark, just watching me. But then they start whispering my name.

  • My Second Mate Is Alpha King   Chapter 52 The Calm Before the Storm

Caitlyn’s POVThe past few days had been a haze of slow recovery and unspoken words. Raymond was still healing, though his stubbornness made him a difficult patient. More than once, I had caught him trying to move around the house when he should have been resting. His pride wouldn’t allow him to admit weakness, even when his body screamed for respite. I had to scold him—sometimes gently, sometimes with more force—but it never fully stopped him.Kane and Jane had settled into our lives in a way that felt both unexpected and inevitable. Their presence filled the space between us with laughter and warmth. Jane’s boundless energy and innocent questions often made even the most serious moments feel lighter, while Kane’s quiet, watchful nature reminded me of Raymond in ways neither of them would ever admit. And yet, beneath it all, something still felt off—like the tension in the air before a storm breaks the sky apart.

  • My Second Mate Is Alpha King   Chapter 51 Together, Always

Caitlyn's POVI listened to Raymond's confession, but it didn't stir a thing inside me.Oh, Lily! Men are always like this—when you need them, they act indifferent, ignoring your needs, and you always come last."Raymond, I don't need your words. You don't have to keep coming back."Raymond seemed sad, his grip tightening on my arm as he shook me."Why, Caitlyn? No, it's not that... I'm worried about you. Richard ran off."I interrupted him. "Okay, Raymond. You act like you care so much, like you love me. But why do I have to accept your love? Oh! It is just ridiculous. I'm exhausted. I don't have the energy to argue with you about what's right or wrong. Maybe I'm wrong, but this is the life I want. I'm sure you know what I mean."Raymond looked at me with such deep affection, then slowly let go of my hand.I took Jane's hand and walked away. That was all I could do.I wouldn't let my emotions get caught up in this

  • My Second Mate Is Alpha King   Chapter 50 Where She Goes

Caitlyn's POVI brought Jane back to the apartment I rented and helped her clean up. As I looked at her, my thoughts drifted to Kane.I knew Raymond would take good care of Kane, but right now, I missed him so much."What are you thinking about?"Jane's voice pulled me from my thoughts, and I looked down, realizing I had made the water too hot for her bath."Oh! Sorry, Jane!" I quickly pulled her out of the water, but Jane didn't seem upset."It's okay. I'm fine."Her calmness made me feel even worse. I wasn't sure if it was because I missed Kane or if I felt Jane's pain."Hey, Jane, I shouldn't have made the water so hot. You should have told me if it was too hot for you," I said, trying to explain. She just looked at me without saying a word. It made me feel a little helpless, but I forced a smile.I gently held Jane until she fell asleep, watching her breathing slow and steady before I finally let myself cry. I

  • My Second Mate Is Alpha King   Chapter 49 A Fresh Start

Caitlyn's POV"Richard lied to us! Caitlyn—please! Alpha, have mercy!"I smiled, my Energy Stone glowing brightly in my hand.Escaping the villa, I hadn't just taken Richard's phone—I had taken the Energy Stone with me.I spoke slowly."Now, bring Beth to me."I released their restraints. The elders hesitated for a moment before nodding.Just as I had suspected, Beth had never truly been cast out.Jason was already dead—Raymond had killed him when he tried to kill me last time—that left only Beth. And if anyone had a reason to want me dead, it was her."Caitlyn, are you feeling proud of yourself right now?"I met Beth's gaze, my voice steady."No, Beth. I want to know—what have you done?"Beth was supposed to be a rogue, yet the Fang Pack had never truly abandoned her. They had hidden that from me."I don't know what you're talking about," she said. Her rea

  • My Second Mate Is Alpha King   Chapter 48 Held in His Arms

Caitlyn’s POVI saw the hesitation in Raymond's eyes.I had expected his rejection. It was just my way of saying goodbye. A farewell I had prepared for him.I didn't tell him I would leave after this.I had already made up my mind. Once this was over, it would be time for me to leave.Raymond followed me as we walked back to the entrance of Smith's private hospital.Smith was bustling around, organizing his belongings while grumbling under his breath. His irritation was so obvious I hesitated to step any closer.Up close, his face was as dark as the bottom of a frying pan."Oh, you two werewolves! Look what you've done to my yard!"I felt guilty and looked away, not wanting to meet his eyes.He kept going, ranting nonstop, and I had nothing to say for myself. I just stood there, letting him vent.I glanced back at the wreckage and frowned.Lily, we screwed up this time. The air was thick with
