Chapter 23- The Bomb Has Exploded

Lily’s POV

I was drinking coffee while massaging my aching head when someone entered my kitchen. Obviously, it’s Rogue. I should really change my passcode so he won’t be able to come here whenever he pleases.

“Let’s go to work together.”

I didn’t react to what he said. I continued sipping on my coffee while staring at the island counter. Right! I have to work today and surely, everyone in the company heard about what happened at the party.

“Lily, I said let’s go to work together.”

I lazily lifted my arm. “No need to repeat. I heard it the first time. It’s just that…I’m not interested.”

He clenched his jaws as he stared into my eyes. “I’ll appoint you as my secretary.”

That’s when I lifted my face and looked at him. “What did you say?”

“I think you heard me the first time, Lily.”

I gritted my teeth and glared at him. “I will resign if you do that!”

He tilted his head and took his phone out. He called someone and said… “Hello? You’re fired.”

My eyes widened. “Who’s that?”

He smirked.
