52. Certainty

One week passed, and Eric suddenly disappeared with the reason of a business visit. The man didn't say goodbye to Cassandra, making the girl wonder what the problem was, so Eric seemed to be avoiding her.

"Eric, where are you? I miss you." Cassandra muttered weakly. She supported her face and sat in her work chair during lunchtime.

"Casey," Sally came over to Cassandra at John's request. John felt sorry to see Cassandra not enthusiastic about her work.

"Sally," Cassandra stood up and hugged Sally's body tightly. She then cried because she remembered Eric ignoring her.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Sally patted Cassandra's back.

Cassandra just sobbed to express her anxiety.

"Okay, cry it out," Sally gave Cassandra time to share her sadness.

"Are you feeling better now?" Sally asked when Cassandra opened her arms.

"Sorry, I made your suit wet." Cassandra smiled slightly as she wiped her tears.

"Oh, that's okay. I can ask Mr. Williams for compensation."
