The car ride was silent, but it wasn't awkward. It was good. It made me realize how much Aaron cared for me and how much he was ready to protect me.

I never thought someone could care for me like that, but he did. I never thought someone would risk their life to save mine, but he did. I never thought… well, I didn’t think a lot of things, but Aaron did it all.

I couldn’t keep my mind off the thought of him, and when he drove to my house and parked by the driveway, I took a moment before I said, "I guess this is goodbye." I didn’t want to leave, I wanted to stay with him even though we wouldn’t be saying anything to each other.

He nodded "Yeah, you should head inside and get some sleep. We have school tomorrow,"

I nodded. "Yeah, we do." I said taking a moment before I continued "Goodnight." I opened the car door and climbed out. Aaron did the same, but only that he leaned on the car while I walked towards the front door presumably because he wanted to make sure I got inside safely.
