Chapter Twenty-Five.

Ralph's P . O . V

I knew I wouldn't be able to fall asleep last night so I didn't even bother trying.

After walking Brittany back to her house, I walked slowly through the silent street lit up by tall lamps on either sides of the road thinking to myself what could have possibly gone wrong.

When my thoughts were beginning to feed me with crazy ideas I wasn't willing to accept, I charged into the house and helped myself to a bottle of water too chilled for the weather and I gulped down its entire content down my painfully dry throat without any hesitations whatsoever.

It felt so lonely being up on my own so I turned on the TV even though my mind was far from it, I just needed the extra voices to keep me from imagining the worst things possible.

I sat on that one sofa situated opposite the main entrance to the house at the far end awaiting when she'll walk in but the door's knob remained untouched up until dawn when I thought to get ready for the day which begins by picking Brittany up
