Chapter 60 Unexpected

Luke was seated next to the window as he looked in the distance.I coughed intentionally to capture his attention.However,he didn't turn his head to look at me,he pretended as though he didn't feel my presence and I heaved a deep sigh.

"I'm sorry about the missed phone calls and texts,I was not close to the phone."I paused and took a deep breath.

Sometimes lying was right if it was the only choice.

To avoid conflicts between Nicholas and Luke,I chose to lie because I didn't want to cause more troubles.

"My phone was running out of battery when I left my room.I think it turned off because you called continuously.I will never ignore your calls or texts,you know."My lips curved into a smile.

"I will never turn the phone off on you,"I explained,I wanted to answer the text but Nicholas snatched the phone from my hand and turned it off.
